Although these are the 2023 editions of the Tata Harrier and Tata Safari, they are not new generation cars in the traditional sense and there is no change in platform. @@zigwheelsto take a leaf out of your video!! I own a Safari 2021.. crossed 50 k kms without any regrets!! Super happy with it!! To add to this it’s my 3rd Tata car! First the Vista (used for 1 lakh km)… second the Zest (still using it and has served me 1.25 lakh km till date) and third is the Safari as mentioned above.

Now that we've facelift Safari and Innova (Hycross) in the market, it's the time to redo a comparison you did before with Safari, XUV7oo & Innova (that test more famous as nobody asked for but everybody liked 😜) !

Excellent and Exhaustive review thanks bringing it on. Nevertheless nobody has covered the features and functionalities of the ADAS. Is it really there & does it work well ??? Could you please do an "Exclusive ADAS Functional Review" for the Harrier as none of the media reviews for the 2023 facelift have covered the ADAS functionality. Lastly, looking at most of the media review from Expert reviewers it appears like #TataMotors have been very stubborn & not willing to rectify the flaws that were found & reported in the Harrier ever since it's launch in 2019. These well known & critical flaws are left unaddressed & STILL REMAIN in the 2023 facelift. How pathetic is this !! (1) Left knee fouling with the centre console is still unresolved (2) Missing proper dead pedal (3) Driver arm rest has always remained too far & hence useless. (4) Second row center passenger doesn't get headrest (5) The engin is very vocal & not refined/quiet. MG Hector & Jeep Compass which use the same engin are much refined & quiet !! Why ? . .. & now the 2023 Harrier & Safari facelift still carries over the above niggles & comes with a half cooked ADAS. .. come on TATA where's the "Pedigree". Neither the showroom experience nor the service centre experience make the Harrier ever feel like a premium car experience & hence the price tag it holds is not justified. Further more the showroom & service centre experience only make things even worse. Very clearly the showroom as well as service centre personal are not trained nor have the skill to sell or service a premium car. Maybe TATA Motors should consider having exclusive showrooms for Harrier & Safari lineups. Just as Maruti have NEXA showrooms for their premium car lineup.

Great review and very informative. Just placed booking for top spec safari variant. Build quality on par with range rover. Only feature missing in my opinion is 4 wheel drive option.

No noticeable difference in ride comfort between the two. Opting for a variant with bigger wheels will have a slight impact on ride quality i.e. bumps can be felt more easily but it’s not to the point of getting uncomfortable

With 3 years or 3 lakhs km warranty as standard, that might be the reason because giving a big turbo and tuning to 180hp and 400nm torque, will affect durability in the long run.

@@STgauss3268 First thing, Warranty doesn't mean complete backup. Second, it's a small tune, engines have been kept on a certain tune, allowing for a certain amount of buffer. Usually, a stage 1 tune is safe and not known to cause issues. And a stage 1 gives it way more power and torque. But this I mentioned is a very minor bump in power. Whether you do the tune or keep in stock, you need to take basic care of your car to sustain it longer, like use a fully synthetic oil, regularly check it, check the air filter etc. Also if company does it instead of aftermarket, they also get it extensively tested and validated. It's just a priority thing. If all people wanted was a bigger touchscreen, then they prioritise that only and do minimal testing and get away with it. Any mechanical changes would require a complete retest. So, unsuspecting customers are so happy with the bigger touchscreen and a nice price bump Do you know the xuv700 base has 156ps while next variant makes 182ps from same engine? Another classic example is duster 85ps and 110ps. They both have been extensively tested and validated. Generally, unless you add additional hardware to bump up power, you are on safer side. Even with hardware, sometimes if the person doing it is very knowledgeable, he could even surpass the stock setup in terms of reliability

I find people endlessly carping about the USB Ports. Agreed they're not easily accessible. But any normal user would buy a spare cable to be connect permanently with the port. Also a small piece of velcro or a cable tie from your daily bread wrapper ensures that the extra length is neatly folded and tucked up. Surprisingly people will endure all these in Firang brands but when it comes to Tata and Mahindra the nitpicking never stops. You'll never find a Brit journo carping about a JLR, RR or Bentley the way we do! 😢

Loved the whole Convo throughout..!! Also loved the last part regarding the services of TATA Motors overall, and it's reputation amongst buyers. I think TATA should definitely create a new image for itself as a Motor brand along with all the New/Facelifted cars that are about to be/already out in the market. Especially loved the banter of you two. Like two saints talking about Preaching...😂✌️ Saw the whole in one go, loved how you guys took into consideration every topic related to the cars as well as the Brand itself. Hi guys..I have been using XUV 500 for 11 years now.. I had booked XUV 700 Awd Diesel L version and the delivery is due in another week..Now after seeing this video i am a little confused and I am really very impressed by the new look of Harrier,both interiors n exterior... .Do you suggest me 700 or Harrier? Now i can wait for a few more months if XUV is also coming up with facelift ..

As engine bhp torque is same for tata harrier and safari but kerb weight of safari is 175kg more than harrier....Does safari performance and pickup reduces compared to harrier due to this extra kerb weight on safari?????

Tata should big time improve their service centres. In Pune, Maharashtra all the service centre are pathetic, they do not have the skilled labour to do the maintenance. In near future if they don’t fix this issue, people would think twice before purchasing Tata cars.

In my opinion safari is 7 seater version of harrier the #dark truth the facelift version and global ncap result on same day is pre plan 😊😊😊 Today young generation drivers is drive a car like plan 100+,150+ speed crash test is only no. For young generation phele hame samajna hoga 😢😢

Mahindra source that engine block from Austria, electronics from South Korea and China, CRDI technology from BOSCH, 4x4 system from BOSCH. Even hyundai source some parts from Europe.

Every car (and most products) have something from different countries today. The messaging is a good promotional point and anyone manufacturing cars in India, irrespective of the brand’s country of origin, is contributing to India’s industrialisation.
