Each car usually has a charging speed limit based on its battery capacity. Tata nexon max charges at max 40kw and non max variants charge at only 25kw. So even if you charge it in 60kw charger it'll only consume 25kw and it slows down even further past 80%

Is 60kw dc charger for nexon ev max ? Or it is some kind of excess output

@@rohanmangate7339 most of the fast chargers are rated for max 60kw. But each car has its max charging speed. Easy thumb rule to know most cars including Tata have approx max charging speed of 1x its battery capacity. Tesla, Hyundai and Kia are exceptions to the rule where they have managed 4x battery capacity. Mercs, Volvo and BMWs are 2x and some others are around 1.5x. The fastest EV charger in india is 240 kw and there are some 150kw chargers also available rarely. But a tata connected to it will not draw more than 40kw at any point. And that will be at its peak. it will on average draw about 21kw and post 85% of charge drops as low as 7kw. So ideal DC charging is from 0-80%.

That's the plan now. Let's see how it goes

@@soorajjp1847 no it is a understanding between companys because it is latest and best common standard available and it's charger are now available across India If anyone wants to go with different connector they have to set-up their own charging infra and that is very very expensive

Your calculations are only based on fast charger. Most of the chargers are charging 250-300 rupees for a full charge. The main thing is you cost less than 100 rupees for a full charge from home. In your case 8 times is the cost for diesel

​@@albertjoseph8286 full charge at home would cost = unit rate x battery capacity. So in India, you can expect 150rs(lowest) to 400rs(in cities like Mumbai, on the long range version)

Fossil fuels needs to be drilled, pumped and refined before it can be used in ice vehicles this also uses a ton of electricity 😂even if evs use electricity from the most polluting source its still less polluting than ICE over its lifetime. battery production does create a bit of pollution as well as certain others ethical issues but lithium batteries are >90% recyclable. costs here are of fast chargers so if u need to continuously travel a lot of distance diesel is the way ( get ready to sell it for scrap after 10yrs tho).
