Z6 is actually the most value for money variant. I drive a Z8 diesel manual. Unless you are too much into looks, the led fog lights and headlights are not that practical in reality. There are definitely draw backs. The major one being 12v socket. However got that fixed by buying a 12v extension from maruti for 400/-. Solves the issue of the tyre inflator not reaching the front wheels. I have driven this for 1200kms in one go, and got qn average of 18kmpl. Tank full to tank full. At some stretches was getting around 20kmpl. You would be surprised the milega counter is quite accurate. The pros- the handling is awesome and can also get you out of tight spots with ease. Very comfortable on long hauls, less body roll compared to other ladder frames. I however have not faced any issues with the trip counter. One thing is however a life saver, the tpms. You know there is leak before it's too late. Regarding the RWD/FWD, if you are the one who would drive in the hills and loose surface surface, go for the RWD. There are always limitations regarding any car, getting stuck is one of them. Remember this car weighs over two tons. And if your drive wheel os stuck, you are stuck. This is coming from a Safari Storme owner

Kaushik Sir, Namaskar....My opinion is totally different, RWD cars are far better and have very less option of stucking and if with RWD they had given MLD, then it would have been a pleasure to drive..anyways I m consedering Z4 4x4 manual diesel.. maybe in jan 2024 i wil book it..any one here driving z4 4x4 can share experience as i m my self presently owing a power machine STORME.

RWD is always better for all Terrains. FWD is better for daily commute Point A to Point B. I am driving Z8 and before this I had Breza which is fwd. I have driven Kia, and Creta. No comparison at all.

@@manishjoshi4064this is misconception most have. RWD is more balanced than fwd and has better handling and are more maneuverable in all terrains. fdw is only suitable for City driving. All 4 wheel drive cars default mode is RWD is that gives you any idea

Fully agree. If you see 4×4s normally they are RWD untill mechanically driver shifts power to front wheels.

Both are not must. Sunroof is not used after 3rd day as we fear dust and dirt. 4wd is only for offroading and 99% who buy 4wd never do any offroading. Scorpio N is RWD suv which is good for mild offroading.

My Z4 diesel Manual has been scheduled for delivery this month and really in doubt that I will be too underpowered, my use is just on highways and city is it able to deliver that performance?

@@omkarkom1816 just drive once & decide for yourself. As per my opinion, it is not at all underpowered. You can easily pull the vehicle in second gear from stand still. As far as highway drive is concerned, it reaches 80-90 in no time. & Since its a big vehicle with good amount of bodyroll, so not recommended above 100kmph. It's true that above models give more power but I would say Z2/Z4-D-MT is adequately powered rather than saying underpowered!!

My Diesel Z4 Manual is been scheduled for delivery in this month, I’m really okay with hydraulic steering but is it really way too underpowered? n if it’s underpowered It’ll probably give the more mileage. Summing up my question, is Z4 Diesel Manual is too much underpowered? And if it’s underpowered can it handle its own weight smoothly without any problems

@@omkarkom1816agar apko bohot bhagane ke shokh hai toh z4 manual apke liye theek nahi rahegi but in terms of mileage and reliability it is more superior as compared to upper models because jitna Kam engine ke upar load hoga utna hi reliable rahegi . But ya it's underpowered BECAUSE SCORPION KA WEIGHT AROUND 2100 KG HAI . BAAKI AAP APNE HISSAB SE DEKHLO

Dear Kaushik ji ..Dr.Vishwas here from gurgaon..Had booked z2 Diesel due to limitation of my budget and am about to get car in 2 to 3 days time..My dauly running is 60 to 70 km..hope im makimg the correct decision..secondly dealers are quoting huge amt for insurance..cud u pls suggest sm good insurance companies and what important things shud i include in it. Buy Diesel If you are buying full size SUV.. 2.0 litre petrol engine will make a hole in your pocket. And most important Petrol Scorpio N resale value is too low… Rest is your decision Happy motoring…

Just drive once & then make a decision. Not at all underpowered!! Precise Steering feedback. Fortuner also comes with Hydraulic. FYI I'm a mechanical Engineer working in one of the leading OEMs & above all, I personally own Z2 diesel manual. Go for it without hesitation. Love from Punjab ❤

Well if looks and size aren't the problem, there are better options than buying the Z2. You don't get much for that price, it's not cheap. Cause at the end of the day you are the one who is going to live with the car. If petrol ur interested in Seltos should serve your purpose in the same price range and if u can pitch in a bit more, you can also get the one with a panoramic sunroof. Yes yes, there is the GNcap rating, but then if you drive like a sane person, I am sure you can survive. Regarding insurance, get it from policy bazar. I saved a whopping 70000/- on the z8 diesel

I own one Z4 Diesel Manual and it's fabulous, The performance is superb and never lets you feel the car is underpowered P.S- I haven't driven other variants with the larger output but this one itself is superb and wont make you regret your decision unless you are doing drag races everyday and all day long, power is enough power for quick overtakes too... I'm from Sikkim and the roads here are not that great in some places and also has pretty steep inclines but the vehicle never felt underpowered, it tackles it very easily, gaps most of the cars and is really smooth and stable, the hydraulic steering has superb feedback and is extremely fun to drive, gives mileage around 8-10kmpl while in highways I've got almost 18kmpl, features are enough for daily use, no extra show off features so less maintenance, the only problem I've had till now is that because of bad roads my steering has started making noise as if something inside is loose, I had a bolero m2dicr before and it also had the same problem (even the steering used to shake up and down, doesn't happen in scorpio) which was fixed after replacing the steering column, don't know what will be the solution this time but will check it in the next 10000kms service, done 4150kms on the odometer and so far no other problems have appeared, road journeys are super comfortable and doesn't make you feel tired that easily, AC is an absolute chiller and the sound quality is fantastic even with just 4 speakers, cabin insulation is great, diesel clatter is audible yet its extremely controlled, absolute beast on road and just appear on the orvm of other car, no need to flash or honk, it'll let you pass pretty easily😛

depends lot on driving style . i learnt that on earlier machine it was Logan 1.4glx on which first five years i never gone above 14-16 kmpl after 2014 i understood how to use clutch and accelarator correctly to gain mileage when i sold it in june 2023 it was giving 18 -20 kmpl @@KafiMoto

I did the test drive for 2024 model and there's no headroom for an adult,only at kids level, also no bag bigger than an office or gym bag can be placed in boot, I had really High Hopes for the model but was quite dissatisfied. Apart from safari, XUV 700 any other make model you recommend Regards Mandar

I have spent 26 hrs with elderly parents in the rear seat. I didn't hear any complaints. Might be because they were sleeping most of the time, but then it must be comfortable enough that can fall asleep without much issue

on stock suspension i feel little bumpy but according to SUV its good but if you have used a sedan earlier then get fitted ROGER AB in suspension - it will give good ride quality

With due respect to Koushik ji..I think it's a wrong observation. I am driving Z8 2WD for offroading and have never faced any issue and compared to fwd not at all.

Most of the car reviewer will say RWD is better than FWD....but there is nothing like that.....in some cases FWD will perform better and in some cases RWD will perform better
