Merger means when two companies decides to combine together to enjoy their syngeries which leads higher growth prospects in near future. (It's just like when a founder needs a co-founder to achieve highers growth in startups). Demerger means when a company decides to split up it's business or any segment of it's current business. The resulting entity (new one) will issue fresh shares to the shareholders of demerged company (existing one). But if we talk about the impact on fair price of share in books it shouldn't change (notwithstanding value unlocking and any trends)

1- Jio financial services was demerged on 20 July 2023. 2- Merger means 2 or more companies combine together to form 1 single company. 3- Demerger means 1 company splits into two companies 4- Benefits of demerging- retailers can buy any one stock of their choice they don't have to buy both, and price of shares also got split so you can buy share even if you have little amount of money. 5- Benifits of merging- retailers can invest in a pool of companies they don't have to buy shares separately.😁😁

Can't give Tata passenger same PE as Maruti as Maruti's net margin is better then Tata Motor so we discount PE to 25 so price comes approx 1200 1200+200=1400 Still 35% discount as today's market price.

Good afternoon, Sir. In case of Reliance industries which demerged a new company and it was listed on NSE & NSE recently and its new name is Jio Financial Services Ltd. Regarding the meaning of 'merger' and 'demerger, a few months' back, Tejas Network (a TATA group company), merged Sankhya Lab, a pure private company with the former. In case of 'demerger', the bright example is Tata Motors which proposed to demerge its business - (1) Comercial Vehicle (CV); and (2) Passenger Vehicle (PV) - subject to approval of necessary regulatory authorities.
