Sure does. These games have their flaws, but they're fun.

This was all always so puzzling to me. The Championship mode is so bland because of it. And yes, the biggest head scratcher to me was always the lack of tag matches. So confusing, considering the other games like Royal Rumble, and even Super WrestleMania had them. Bizarre.

Yeah that sticks out. But if you knew Acclaim's business practice back there, it's unsurprising. Acclaim always wanted to maximize their profits and thus made various versions of the same game with differences, in the hope that people who own both or multiple consoles, would actually by the same game twice. Hence why Super Wrestlemania on Mega Drive has the Championship mode and the SNES doesn't or the different rosters on the Mega Drive and SNES versions of Super Wrestlemania and Royal Rumble (or even before that, Steel Cage Challenge on NES and Master System) Also, Rage in the Cage was quickly thrown together, it was released only 2 months after Royal Rumble.

And then they added tag teams and a cage match, but got rid of tag team matches and didn’t put any cage matches in the single player mode. 🤣💀 Like what?

@@Virtual.Suplex I remember playing WWF Royal Rumble on the Genesis as well as WWF RAW. The latter being more popular if I remember correctly, I remember RAW had more players and I think better gameplay? They both looked very similar, especially to this game. Some of the wrestlers that appeared in this were never to be seen again. 😂🤣

Very cool, but they get repetitive - although I do appreciate that each wrestler has 2-3 different ones to mix it up.

Even crazier when 1-2-3 Kid does it in WWF Raw
