I always set my Slim on 9 for first pass on head and face shaves. Gets me BBS on one pass, but do a clean up pass on 6 to get whatever I might have missed. No need for 3 passes.

I have a couple of them, and a couple Fatboys. Both great razors! Amazing that my ‘59 Fatboy and my ‘61 Slim still look and work like new.
