We are very proud of actresses like Jaya ji and Shabana ji who have created a space for themselves to do roles that help evolve common viewer's view on women and life as a whole. But I wish today's actors and actresses ( specially the more famous ones) knew that they too had the power to bring in these positive changes in the mindsets of their viewers instead on just focusing on the money they make or lifestyle they wanna lead. I wish they could learn from people like you.

The lady who moderates the discussion is awful. She is misinformed. As a host you must let your speakers talk more and not blabber about the subject yourself. She cut the speakers off too many times. Shabana was amazing. They should have brought Aparna Sen definitely.

Jaya Bachchan was literally dead throughout the interview. Shabana Azmi left a much better impact with her knowledge of women empowerment and the film industry. She's just too brilliant off screen as well.

I believe in today's context, what Jaya Bhaduri and Shabana Azmi said at around 18th to 20th minute, films like "Thappad" and "Mukherjee Da'r Bou" stands more upright !

There seems to be a rivalry that still exists between Jaya and Shabana....Jaya really didn't say much in this panel except to diplomatically refute what Shabana stood for. She also didn't seem to have much of an opinion on anything at least not much compared to Shabana. One of the things that I noticed at the start was when Shahana was introducing the panel, Jaya did not clap her hands when Shabana was being introduced.... she did clap her hands along with the audience when Aloka was being introduced.

ThUrT EilNo the host was a disaster she was loud and obnoxious. The discussion could have been brilliant if she did her job well. Shabana single handedly saved the discussion, Aloka mitral was good too at least she was honest. Jaya is the difficult one couldn't understand her point this was terribly awkward for me to watch

Jaya ji is an admirable actor ! Respect her . But she , whispering something to Shabana during her question is highly out of good etiquette. She could have waited . Highly highly regrettable .

I hate when the anchor's over indulgence by playing like a devoted fan overtakes their objectivity. They can not have a meaningful conversation. The anchor becomes like a mute follower or an onlooker like those audience sitting and watching. One more thing is inviting so many of them together on stage then you can not have a conversation anyway.

I am a huge fan of Shabana ji's work, but claiming salim-javed's scripts to be representing women is not acceptable. If anything, women were portrayed like mere objects (with no variations or exceptions) in their films.

Shabana, it seems has regards only for old Muslim actresses like Mina Kumari Ji and Waheeda Ji but she did not use it to call Nutan as Nutan Ji. That is perfect example of how strangely, I have seen many Pakistani people also behave on their TV Shows

I 100% agree with you Tamal Basu--Look at SHARMILA TAGORE-she is much much better than JAYA .... she speaks as a bengali she did a lots of bengali films as hindi as well! she is very standard sophisticated polite gentle honored self respected woman, who together perfectly leads her life all of her personal and professional roles, SHE IS A ROLE MODEL! who has a good family life handled husband society everything very nicely but never shown any proud herself by her husband or anything she belongs. EVEN AMITABH can speak BENGALI far better than JAYA! jaya is like dhobi ka kutta na ghar ka na ghat ka/ I HATE HER!

I never like the name of movie mai chooup rahugi. Husband, his family do abuse woman and she should shut up. Most of the indian movies if heroin put up nonsense then say oh she is very good girl or great bahu. Women has to stand up for their rights n not to put up bunch of nonsense.
