Kokie brushes at rite aid are so high quality.. also glam squad at either cvs or Walgreens has good.brushes. for sponges, Walgreens has those awesome velvety sponges.

Yess, thank you Tati for mentioning that meditation isn't for everyone. Its one of the number one things that people recommend for anxiety and it doesn't always work and I think some people get very frustrated when it doesn't, but it doesn't mean it has to. You just gotta keep trying to find the one thing that does.

It is actually something you have to practice. People think it comes easy for those who medidate, but it is quite the opposite for many. It took me months to do it correctly, to clear my brain, to hush the anxiety ridden thoughts, just like Tati mentioned. But that is the point. You are training your brain. Think of it like a deep clean for your brain. But alas, just might not be for everyone 😉

I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and I never once learned that meditation is a way to deal with your anxiety. I also have dealt with anxiety myself. It's vital to find out what exactly is the root cause of it and the best way to find that out is by going to therapy. I also recommend an easy and amazing workbook called mind over mood. It's extremely well known in the field of psychology and psychotherapy. And to be honest, what helped me the most, was going go to therapy, working through my issues by digging into my past and my hurts, finding ways to cope with my anxiety while I was getting better, and God. He gave me peace in the darkness that is anxiety. I pray that everyone who has this awful mental disability, will have peace in your life. 🙏🏼

When you started talking about the peace that doing your makeup brings you, I felt that. I got into makeup because it was the only thing that calmed my anxiety, and still does. It gives me something to focus on when I have a million and one things going through my head. Makeup is not just a hobby for me. It's my therapy.

What you said between 20:38 - 22:05 about "makeup meditation" 100% resonates with me. Makeup helped me calm myself in a period of great and constant anxiety and it was so soothing, so now I use it regularly primarily for that purpose! Also, your final look is soooooo gorgeous in this video! I completely love every bit of it, and it looks amazing all together!

Same!! I'm 39 (40 in November) and I cannot wear concealer anymore! It just looks horrendous on me! I use foundation all the way up under my eyes and it's the only thing that looks semi natural. I'm lucky to not have dark circles or wrinkles yet but still it sucks not being able to use all of the beautiful concealers on the market now!

tati when i started watching your vids four years ago, i decided to purchase my first vanity as opposed to bathroom mirror makeup. since then, it’s my meditative moment. doing my makeup before my hard serving job helps me tune out my anxiety about the coming day. it’s changed my life, and i don’t care if anyone thinks it’s vain! it’s my zen!

i honestly love your videos slowed down a little bit, i always play your videos whenever i’m doing some chores like cooking, homework, or even cleaning. your voice is very soothing and i love how detailed you are !

Gorgeous Tati, not too much at all! I agree with you, makeup is meditative/therapeutic to me. I suffer anxiety as well, and let me tell you, I cannot wait to do a full face makeup everyday! I can’t believe how much I look forward to it and enjoy it. It’s that creative space, being of no mind and people need to find theirs. For some it’s cooking, gardening, drawing, painting, crafting, etc. Thank you for speaking about it 💕💕💕

I love when you talk through the steps in detail and go slow!! It’s so hard to find really good tutorials on KZfaq, from people who actually know what they’re doing and can explain why they’re doing it, and you do it very well!! Plus, I also just love the way you do your make-up, and as someone who knows nothing about doing her make-up, I learn a lot from you and really enjoy your videos! 😊👍❤️

The way you feel about the way makeup relaxes you is exactly how I feel about it and nobody in my world understands and makes me feel crazy and obsessive about it. It's absolutely therapeutic for me and it's nice and comforting to know that someone else out there feels the way I do about it.

Tati, i like it better when you explain the different shadows and steps you use to do your eyeshadow look. It has helped me as a beginner know how to shape my eyes and how to use different colors in different areas to accent certain things. I have hooded eyes and its so helpful when you explain everything out.

Tati, I think the flow of the video is great, I like how you pause to show colors but speed up the blending. You're inspiring and comforting to watch. You're advice is on point and I like watching you because we have similar skin types. Are you in to astrology? Wondering where your Chiron falls? I totally agree about meditating, my mind is too busy. Putting on makeup or doing my nails, hair, a mask or even decorating/cleaning puts me in such a better place and almost it's almost trance like, dancing and listening to music the whole time.

Hey Tati x I think the fact you’ve been around for the length of time you have says a lot for your content. In answer to your question, I personally like all of your videos and styles in how you edit them. It keeps things interesting. What i’d love to see you do is a Q&A video. Request for viewers questions and go through the ones that seem to come up often. 🙂

Hi Tati, I love when you do drugstore make up tutorials!!! Since you asked, I would really like if you talked through how you do your eyeshadow more often! It would be extremely help to see exactly where you are placing some colors, how much blending you’re doing, etc. BTW, love that dress! Keep killing it❤️💄😁

I love it when you explain what you’re doing versus just product talk. There is SO much product talk on here and not enough tutorial like videos. Even when you are full on comfortable with makeup application.. there are tips and tricks that you can really benefit Fromm day I for one would LOVE to hear more of that kind of content.

I love when you explain where you put your eyeshadow colors as you layer them on. You don’t have to in every video, but I definitely think it helps me when I’m getting ready in the morning to think back to “Oh! Tati said she does it this way, I want to try that!”
