Who is the naughtiest on set? What’s the weirdest bit of fanmail the cast have every received? Did Hugh Bonneville really lock Allen Leech in a tower? +Shirley A Michelle has also this queenish attitude on-screen. But then, since they both are fine actresses, they could change the roles without problems. I'm sure Michelle could have played Lady Edith with ease, and also Laura could have played Lady Mary.

Poor Sophie and Leslie! I just wanted to tell them they are beautiful as themselves and beautiful as their characters; and that goes for the rest of the cast too! I've never heard from a more agreeable ensemble in the history of television and that says a lot towards the success of the show. May cast and crew continue to find success and happiness!

4:30 on the favourite storylines, I find it hilarious that Jim has this whole scenario thought out (or he just thought very quick on his feet). Either way, it's so great that Phyllis is suggesting a Carson plot for Mrs Hughes and Jim takes his version to the silly extremes

"And ill have mosley as my dg" is my ringtone- Short story- So we were watching downton abbey and i had that as my ringtone, my dad was sitting on the couch by the table with my phone and somone texted and my phone went "and ill have mosley as my dg my dad jumped and said oh my god that just scared me so bad, i died laughing. Long story short rob scares my dad and i keep my ringtone of well were watching a tv show 😂

I like this series because it has selected actors who come from the world of theatre. And in the theatre you have to overplay a character a bit. And here, the actors create characters that are totally unnatural, like in the theatre. Also, the staging is reminiscent of theatre. The actors in promos sometimes don't get out of their characters. That's the charm of Downtown Abbey.

How is it that Allen and Rob are not together? Allen is completely in Rob’s personal space, and they’re facing each other. Not only that, Allen seems to be leaning forward at times.
