The devs kinda did the Tatra trucks dirty. They're all total beasts in real life.

I just found out yesterday that it's wheels have 100 damage tolerance instead of 50. that's another level of being fantastic.

I've started my game with the t813 this thing is my goto for everything I don't know about the terrain. I literally use it as scout. I'm a kinda patient player tbh and prefer "getting where I want" over speed advantages. Getting to your goal with lower speed is faster in the end than retry 15x until it works. The utility issue - mentioned in the video - is something I'd agree. I'm currently unlocking the Tatr t815 and it will extend my capabilities. (Yeah I just started Snow Runner in December 2022)

Just came across this video, late to the party, but i love it. One aspect I would like to add: this truck (with bed + crane add-ons) is surprisingly easy to "rescue" in the wild with a smaller vehicle winch when you do manage to tip it over. On Hard Mode this is definitely a lifesaver, whereas I shy away from using other heavy, tippy trucks like the Antarctic. The new Derry is also much harder to upright, despite having a similar look as the Tatra 805.

Love this truck, long trips are no problem. Im carving through Amur with it at the moment

It’s pretty weird that this truck doesn’t get diff lock always on considering the real life truck has it (from my knowledge)

I thought this truck was pretty damn cool but as you said it just gets outperformed. I found it was just a pain to drive because of its big turning circle and it was too low to the ground.

I'm not sure if this has been changed since your review but this feels very close to the ziks now, great fuel economy with 540L of fuel on board a crane, bed and trailer, yeah the crane does lower the front a bit but doesn't seem to stop it.. Its becoming my go to favourite

My guess is that they stiffened the rear suspension to compensate with the weight when towing a truck with the special addon. Makes it feel kind of sluggish Fun fact, there's a 16 wheeled Tatra Force that is currently in Germany working as a drilling rig. It's really cool!

The Force also works for the police, and can be made 16x16 and 20x20 too

Pretty disappointed with this after testing it out. I expected a straight up upgrade from t813, which was okay-ish and pretty decent but imo a very dull truck to drive. Expected an S-class truck, but its definitely not on the same level as the Vorons, Taygas, and the Azov 73210. I suspected it was ground clearance, and you confirmed it. Also, I wouldnt call it tippy, but not nearly as stable as the other S-class trucks that you can drive with abandon -- I think the stance isnt as wide. But at least you get a lot of fuel! I get that we can always use "less good" trucks to make the game fun. Unfortunately, I also find the Tatras very dull to drive.

I recently went to Don after getting frustrated with Amur, and I agree with everything you’ve said about the Tatra’s. Solid trucks but they do seem to get caught up in deeper mud.

I tested this truck today thr first time. well ... I will still use the T813. Better GC (even to T-815 without crane), smaller, so better in offroad and better turning circle. More little details, I love looking at. More repair points. The T815 can bed and crane, yay, but without bigger tires or difflock... thanks for the money selling it :D

I want to add two more upsides: 1- it has a very powerful (and cool looking) crane 2- it's free

When talking about crane, there's a mistake: Tatra minicrane is called TAT-12, not the LC 3.8

One downside i would add to the list I grabbed that truck yesterday and i immediately noticed that out of All the Tatra trucks it has the biggest turning circle. its very clunky and hard to navigate through narrow passages with it Otter than that i agree with all of your points. Thx Nathan

So, a Russian truck, an American truck and a Czech truck can have those capabilities? Sweet! I'll definitely be using those three trucks, regardless of if it's the original or modded variants.

I think the truck needs to be front heavy so it doesn't wheelie when using the towing frame.

This truck as firetruck? well, by the time they get there, the new building is already finished at where the old one burn down...

Its not a bad teuck, but im waiting for its front suspension to be fixed cause it squats due to the weight of the tatra loading crane, i said if its a military class vehicle it should have strong suspension

Hi Nathan! Every aspect you told here about the Tatra Force 815-7 is s unfortunately true. Especially if you compare it to the new Derry Special at the moment. It's a real shame for the Tatra truck. It's top-heavy like a coati if the crane is installed. Every Western Star outperformed this one, even without diff lock on Ontario this time. You saw some originals, I know. It has so much potential to be one of the best...but....that's the difference between a game and a simulator. Take care and keep snowrunnering! 💪👈👍

The only problem with this tatra is that thr 815 is too top heavy. It is nor normal. If this truck was made well it is unstoppable. Like in expeditions. It is perfect! Like no more super front heavy like beyond realism. I hope someone brings it like a mod or smf

For trucks like the tatra force and the phoenix, should they be run on the unique mud tires they come with or should they use the mudtires that other trucks share?

Today I've just unlocked the Tatra Force in Don (was doing this map only for this truck). For me this truck is a huge disappointment. I can't find something positive in it. Even its special addon is useless. The Tatra Phoenix is a very good surprise though (in my opinion of course). So I came to Don for the Force but leave with the Phoenix.

It's crane is just the same as the truck. Decent but SLOW. However, any crane is better than no crane.

This truck is utterly useless for one simple reason: There are no winch points on its side, only along the center line. Meaning it is imposible to upright when it inevitably tips over.
