This is SO HELPFUL! I just got my first Moterm Pocket Planner and I am OBSESSED. I had a few inserts already, but watching your fillip through is SOOOO helpful! Thank you for telling me where you got your monthly spread insert. Mine is too small & not functional. PLEASE KEEP POSTING VIDEOS LIKE THIS!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Totally love them!!!! And yup, I actually watched it a few times hahahahahhahaha.

Thank you so much! I always feel it’s important to remind people that Pinterest isn’t a free resource. To be honest there are debates about if even using pics for personal use is okay (like printing Pinterest pics for your journal), but I am guilty of that myself. But I recently found unsplash I think it’s called, for free photos you CAN use so I’m going to try and use that more now!

@@amandaleighplans Unsplash is great! I'm an educator so I use their images a lot in my materials so I don't have to worry about who owns what :) There are so many good pictures there. Sometimes you can find other resources that are free to use, like the Biodiversity Heritage Library on Flickr, or if you just google creative commons images you can find a site to search tons of pictures free to use!!

A couple shops!! Let’s make it sparkle (website), SK Journals (etsy) and pretty planner crafts (Etsy) are some of my favs for tiny icons! I have icons from other shops but the ones I listed are for sure the tiniest. And thank you sooo much! 🥰

Thank you sooo much! 🥰 I print my inserts on HP 32lb paper - I believe it’s linked in my Amazon favorites! I used to use Hammermill 32lb but that one is very yellow toned. I prefer the cool toned HP :)

I use an HP deskjet 3755! I have it in my Amazon favorites which is linked in the description bar :) I do use matte photo paper to print my dashboards on which helps with color vibrancy! And for inserts I use HP 32lb. All of it is linked in my Amazon favs! ❤️

Great video and setup 👍🏽 I was about to pull the trigger on this planner in taupe as well (but in A5). Want a lighter color, fresh look for spring (currently in Louis Vuitton Monogram, which is dark brown). In your video the color looks beautiful...but a LOT darker than it appears on screen (I viewed on iPad, iPhone, and PC to get multiple perspectives). Could you tell me if it’s really as dark as it appears in your video? Highly individual question, I know, but if you have the time to respond it would help a bunch! Thanks 😊

I find that colors on my KZfaq videos are never true. I have no idea why, maybe it’s my lighting?! For example my undyed planner looks totally different on KZfaq than in person. Do you have Instagram by chance? If you send me a DM, I can send you a video of the taupe in natural lighting so you can see the true color! @amandaleighplans

I love your setup- could you tell me if your planner has 25mm rings? Also, do you just buy pocket size inserts from cloth & paper? I see you don’t have a pen loop, I cut mine off so I’m guessing you’ve done the same. I want to buy things from them as I have the same planner but I’ve never bought anything from them and want to make sure I get it right.

Yes, 25mm rings! And I do buy pocket size from cloth and paper, that’s what fits in here! I cut all my pen loops off as well since I swap for the bigger rings you can’t really fit a pen

This is the regular, the luxe has card slots in front of the zipper pocket, secretarial pockets and has double snap closing.

Yes! Pocket moterms come with 20mm rings and I swap them for 25mm. You can get 25mm pocket (A7) rings from AliExpress or I got mine from Planner Vintage on Etsy :)

I've been watching a lot of videos lately marketed as "minimal" planner setups and I'm convinced that KZfaqrs don't know what the word "minimal" means. When every section has a tab with two card pockets with task cards that aren't actually used as task cards, a vellum (or more than one layered), a dashboard, a section header page, and a clipped card or photo, that's NOT minimal. Pretty, yes. Minimal, no. The word you're all looking for is "monochromatic". Minimal would be two things inside the cover: dividers with the section name on the tab, and content pages that you intend to write on. Rule of thumb: If the number of deco pieces in the planner is more than the number of tabs, it is most likely not minimal. I still want to see it, just stop using that word :)

LOL apologies it’s not just dividers and inserts, I do like my pretty things in between my sections but I came from total deco pastel cutesy character stickers COVERING my inserts. Now, my inserts are pen only. To me that’s minimal. Functional. But the reason you see so many videos called minimal with planners that look like mine is because that’s what this style of planner is called in the online planner community. To someone not familiar with the community I totally get it like I really do, this is not the TRUE definition of ‘minimalism’ and I myself joke about that all the time lolol - but it’s simply what this style is called in the community and people know to search minimal versus deco depending on if they wanna see this ‘chic’ style or a pastel cutesy character style. I’ll inform the Board of the Planner Community that you’d like to file for an official name change of this style of planner 🤣

Well seeing how everyone has a different definition of minimal I don't really think that anyone can say what is or is not minimal. What is amusing is that people have the time to come into a comment section to lecture people on how their not follow a specific set of "rules". Maybe put that energy towards something more important in your life, rather than coming online to complain about how someone isn't following your specific rules.
