I agree buddy. Mike aka POPS is our street father He would take the jersey of his back for anybody to keep warm thats just how he is. Him and his two sons are doing so well no with a house and a car and one of his sons had work in the orchids. My partner & I spent many cold nights out there with them also. And when pop got a house he took us with them.. I lost my dad last year to cancer and pop has now become my new father I'd forever be grateful. He is a really good man

I was on the streets with all of these people. And I'll tell you one thing the money ALWAYS went on a kai for EVERYONE! The synthetics were always there it came faster than getting a feed & for free at that! Im not condoning it but I had to do drugs at times to fill the gap in my puku coz we never really got a feed till fridays when kai aroha was on. Only a few of the homelesses used to beg for drugs.. others like myself would do it for the food or for someone to buy us a warm jersey or blanket. One day I sat and "begged" (We call it busk) for 7 hours just to make $40 so i could go into the salvation army and buy some clothes and a small yoga mat to sleep on. So ahh stfu with your comment!

@@RachelTurner-yh3vn what do you know. Where you out there doing it? I was out there 8 years ago. It was mostly just for alcohol an synthetic pot. %98 of us. More started catching on an doing the same thing. But they where less respectful about it. Ending up in the bylaw.

@@terminallydrunk1900 your speaking to some one who's been homeless for 14 years and I was in recovery in those times it's mainly for food because without asking for food you will get no money
