Tauranga Zoo is the first real budget zoo I've worked on...bringing with it a series of challenges that haven't really come up in other more sandbox style zoos.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Planet Zoo is a construction and management simulation video game developed and published by Frontier Developments. The game is a spiritual successor to the Zoo Tycoon series, and is perfect for the realistic detailer or the animal lover at heart!
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Garden Rescue is a series in which I use my critical eye to pinpoint problems of challenging areas that the host has called out, use design principles and artistry to fix those problems and explain it in a way so that it can be shared in other zoos!
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
This Planet Zoo Series focuses on Planet Zoo Fix for many authors of other projects. So far we've rehabilitated Meilin Zoo by Deladysigner, Nuna Kanata by Geekism, Little Eden by PondShrimp and each one has been a challenge. This video by Planet Zoo Mike Sheets combines my love of Planet Zoo Realistic Design, Planet Zoo Botanical Design and Planet Zoo Garden Design. Such Planet Zoo Fixes include Planet Zoo Waterfalls and Planet Zoo Paths in Little Eden, Planet Zoo Habitats and Planet Zoo Paths in Meilin Zoo and rockwork in Nuna Kanata. The challenge normally comes from Planet Zoo Animals and their Planet Zoo Habitat Design to be able to balance their needs in a realistic way.

New Zealand has some absolutely incredible flora (I really recommend researching the weird herbaceous stuff that exists there) and I love seeing someone respecting that kind of vibe... It's serendipitous that you did the canyon in my opinion, because the real life Taronga Zoo is a beautiful one beside the river in Sydney with some amazing exhibits, and it also reminds me of the trail I used to hike in the Sydney suburbs with my dad that was this incredible inland seaway/canyon/river thing, salt water with a lot of the interesting pea-related flowers and ferns on the staggered rocky walls. Would love to see you do a zoo that uses the really blue and gray colors of various Australia bushland, or the strange sandy fynbos near Capetown... Hardly obligated to by any means, but it's so interesting to see how you turn your research into actionable themes and perhaps there's an inspiring protea or west Australian flower to add spice to your gardens. Edit: apparently there's a Tauranga in NZ itself.... That explains soooo much lol

You have without a doubt a great eye for choosing flora palettes that work within environments unfamiliar to the game's perimeters. Looking into the canyon from any perspective should be a treat, even in real life! May I dream of future projects in which you terraform sandbox maps that are otherwise flat? You don't even have to add foliage, but I believe it would kickstart some great creative minds within the community.

What we have is Just a drop in the ocean. Love the idea of esembling your own plants, like the eucalypthus. If you share like you have plan ed to, dont share with all in one go. Of they arr to nr used in franchise the blueprints must be afordable. Someone had done it with rock formations but the cost was crazy ergo l could not use them. Just a though. 😊 Dont stop the garden rescue series. It is a lot of fun to watch. Keep up the info as well. People love it. 😊 Ah and you mentioned Someone had the zoo entrance far i to the land and no guedyd came, weird becaude l have buildt a Mountain they have to climb and go down again in order to get to the zoo. l work very well. You do what I really enjoy: having a nice composition not with a painting but with a 3D space, and you do it very well! Gotta give props to Rubih as well for this really cute and creative entrance building. I love it. As for New Zealand, it's indeed very green. Ferns, ferns everywhere. No palm trees I think, those are all tree ferns actually when you look closely. Unrelatead by I was wondering while being there: the New Zealand symbol is a fern. But which part? The branch / the leaf / or part of the leaf? #fractal Also props for making rope bridges, because they are literally everywhere!

Love it! The whole series. When I watch your videos I get the feeling of understanding nature through (your) art. One thing about the geomorphology keeps me wondering. Is this really a canyon? English is not the language I speak, but I would refer to a canyon as a valley with a stair kind of profile, carved in different layers of stone. For me your canyon looked a bit like a overgrown gully, or maybe a not so deep gorge. Are these terms, more or less, the same?

Minor note at 2:30-ish, Okapis are forest giraffes, not forest zebras. Zebras and Giraffes are only distantly related; a giraffe would actually be more closely related to a dolphin than it would be to a zebra! (Giraffes are even-toed ungulates (hooved animals) of the order Artiodactyla. Also in this family are cattle, deer, hippos, camels, pigs, and cetaceans (whales and dolphins). Think of them as being 'siblings' or 'close cousins'. Zebras are odd-toed ungulates belong to the order Perissodactyla, which also includes rhinos and tapirs, and as such using the earlier analogy horses, tapirs, and rhinos could be considered close cousins, while the even toed ungulates are more distant cousins, and non-ungulate mammals like you and I are even more distant cousins, and so on.
