With naval management, try using the "patrol" or "convoy raid". That should help.

You seem to get frustrated with your navy when you put them on strike force. I dont know if you are aware or not, but a fleet on strike force mission is SUPPOSED to return to port until an enemy fleet is located, they then leave the port to engage. You're supposed to have a small fast fleet patrolling to locate enemy fleets, and your strike force fleet is meant to be your bigger fleet with firepower (ideally).

Since you're exploring new stuff with the DLC, how about you explore a new leader for France that came with the patch that was released alongside said DLC - Rene Nicod? And so you have a challenge to go with exploring him, here's one I came up with: -Play as France, Go Communist, and go down the "Loyalty to the Cause" Branch (if you choose Loyalty to Moscow, you keep Thorez; Nicod is available if you do Loyalty to the Cause or Anti-Fascist Coalition) -Puppet the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain (if the Republicans win the Spanish Civil War, you can ignore them), as well as any other nations you want (you do not have to fight Japan, the USA, or Soviet Union if you don't want to) -You must instigate a worker's revolution in Germany -No Order 66 against any country you get a war goal on through a focus

New focus trees: cool interesting and historical ideas Estonian focus tree: either conquer the world or become submissive and breedable to Germany or Russia

Literally just got home today, just to see a video by Taureor! What a great welcome home present!

What I like to do with my operatives if I just want to do collaborations is build the network to 60% and put a single agent to do the quiet network mission, it makes it so the network does not degrade and the agent is pretty safe, even in the USSR (so far in all my games I never saw an agent in this kind of mission be captured or killed)

The manpower problem is partially why I prefer to release sweden and norway as puppets, because they only become cores when you're done with the soviet union. So you lose a number of manpower on garrisons. I personally prefer to get Finland, don't trigger finno-urgic yet, and first conquer the baltics when you have the finnish units. After doing the decision for the baltic cores, do finno urgic, it's a better color. :3

Exercise your troops as a pure infantry template then switch to the one with support. You will loose hardly any experience and you can train them back up without loosing much artillery

Combat width exploration would definitely be interesting. I have found 27 width to be very effective across multiple games. Much more effective than large templates in the 39-43 range. Those seem to have issues fitting into combat. Smaller templates in the 20-30 range have worked better for me but I could be missing something

Id love to try this when I buy the dlc. I dont know why they thought the collaboration gov was a good idea. The lag it causes is insane. The event pop up spam when you're trying a world conquer is even more insane.

Hey, Challenge idea: Try germany, go for the Holy Roman Empire focus but in the civil war transfer over to the German Reich and win the civil war, then conquer allies or soviet union, it will be hard with no focus tree no research and well, nothing really but i would love to see it!

You can ask all of the axis for lend-lease directly, Italy and Germany can send you up to 30k guns a few years into the game. In general, Turkey and all the other Asian non-aligned countries will send you lots of guns if relations with them are at least 40-60

You may not be able to change the snow, because they made it so that it's a more important mechanic, affecting supply, and army stats

You could have just built a level one port and connected with a railway on that tile and saved the supply hub buff for later - port does same job as supply hub, especially useful in North Africa

@Taureor I would love to see you going for the Romanov tree for the soviets. I tried myself and it works well enough, but I am far from having an optimal game that way yet.

@Taureor, since Mongolia survived Barbarossa it is the leader of the Comintern and hence is considered a major nation. So you could start a war with them and get as a fascist nation 10 day justifications vs say the middle eastern countries if those dont get guaranteed by the allies they will automatically join the commintern and you can peace them out in one go. Just some food for thought, take care.

The good thing if you manage to keep mongolia and tannu tuva together, is you can start a war with them and after usually you can attack other countries that will automatically join them, just be careful not to be in war with the allies (or be in a faction that's at war with them, to not merge the wars).

I would like to see a new sweden gameplay,where you take over all the nordic and baltic states, and maybe beat up soviets. :)

If youre out for the achievement to own all of the baltic coast this would be the way to go - after getting your cores start to justify against the germans and build at least one more army group like Taureor said and stomp them and italy. Two armies towards romania and hungary, three kn the german bulge and your main forces at the memel to push into the german heartland (maybe covering the north of rhe bulge too, in case supply gets too bad), one on the denmark strait and some divisions left at home in case germany decides to naval invade Take all of the baltic coast in the peace deal and boom, you should’ve got it. I played the baltic a lot since nsb but didnt manage to get those results. Yet. Ill try again today, thank you Taureor!

When I played this on my own, I went to Service by Requirement and didn't have enough supply with the anti-soviet divisions, nor the manpower at Service by Requirement. I considered Every Adult Serves as too high a cost in my production, so I just marched to Moscow with a METRIC TON of CAS and fighters. Weak divisions, strong air makes for a great offensive

Against the USSR I've had decent success with smaller units, because supply - width 10-16. re: supply hubs - it looked like you left the rail cap at 1. As rail is cheap wouldn't rail level 3 be better?

Increasing cheap railway is also useful to make supply hubs better. Yo do not need to build that many supply hubs

Its Finno-Ungric, because finnish and hungarian laguage have the same roots. And they are the only languages of that kind! Its a mistery for me how that worked and how they become so different over time!
