I'm a smaller guy, My GX4XL with the 11 round mag, hides perfectly. I also carry 3 13 round mags on the belt. I haven't noticed any mag wobble, maybe because of my smaller hands? More than 3000 rounds through it, has been flawless.

Eh, I’m a rookie shooter meaning that I have purchased a few semis, not shot consistently and trying to decide what I should carry. I liked Ruger compacts until I inserted the extended mag ….. didn’t care for the wobble as described in this video. Being 6’3” with somewhat large hands (with skinny fingers) the GX4 carry may fit my edc needs. I like the fact that I could add a light to the GX4 carry …. for home use. The price seems right as well. Now it’s on to researching its reliability. Thanks for posting …. It’s what I needed to view 😊

I can say, with all the testing I have done on the GX4 lineup they are very reliable. I have around 2500 rounds through my XL and have had no issues.

@@PEWPEWNATION Nice. I’ve been shooting CCI Blazer 115 grain ammo and every pistol that I’ve fired during the summer has had zero failure with them. I plan to test fire the GX4 Carry at my local range soon. I’m sure to have similar results. Sounds like I need to step up the amount of ammo that put through a pistol to get feel for how well it holds up. Thanks for the inspiration. 😉

The GX4 Carry is nice, I've held it, but it completely eliminated the original purpose of the GX4... I like my Non-TORO, OG, Coyote brown, GX4 better. I've got hundreds of rounds through mine and have gotten pretty accurate shooting it. 😎

I like my GX4 toro with red dot but I'm pulling too many shots when shooting under stress. But love the gun...it runs so well. Prefer it over my 365. You may have sold me on the Carry with this video. Also considering the Arex Delta M, as my Arex Alpha is so impressive...but obviously not a CCW. Thank you for this review!

Look into a lakeline barrel with the port built into the barrel in black nitrate. Totally smooths out the recoil and will 100% improve shooting. Do not get the threaded barrel though. Good luck.

Just watched this. A good head-to-head comparison. I've carried the standard model for a year now. I like that model for its concealability. Yeah, I'd like to have the full three-finger purchase on it, but I accept that tradeoff for it's ease of concealment. That said, If I didn't already have a GX4, I'd probably be looking at the GX4 Carry model first.

NGL when the stream comin outta that flame thrower started bursting out the side and toward the screen, I kinda panicked for a fraction of a second and thought something had gone terribly wrong! ...then quickly realized that it was just a visual/transition effect and breathed a sigh of relief LoL😂

There's a saftey recall on some of the og gx4s. Mine is one of them. I have to send it in to get checked. I've never had any issues with it tho. It runs like a champ. I guess its a drop safe issue

I have a og gx4. I want the carry model. Honestly i think they dropped the ball on all xl models so far including the g3s cuz those should have the highest capacity of all. Should've made the grip frame a lil longer to accept the 15rd carry mags flush fit

Got a GX4 Carry a week ago, so far really like it. It's just a bit lighter, half an inch smaller, and 6mm narrower than the Glock 19.

I've long been a fan of Taurus handguns, roughly fifty years long, and have owned revolvers and semi-autos alike. Every single one of those handguns performed flawlessly for me. I currently own a G2C and carried it daily for about a year. But back in March of this year I came to the conclusion that I just don't trust the 9 Minimal much more than I do the .380ACP as a personal defense round. So, I've retired the G2C to the vault and reverted to a pistol I carried for years before I fell in among the Philistines and adopted the 9 Minimal, a Slick Willy Era Smith & Wesson "Compact" in .40S&W. I plan on checking the Taurus website today, and if I find a pistol in .40S&W that rings the bell for me I'll buy one next week!

40 underpreforms in most cases. Kicks more. 9mm is more effective period. Theres a reason most law enforcement agencies switched from 40 to 9

@@bryanlorente9390I'm a retired LEO and government employee and I can assure that the 9mm pistols that many Law Enforcement agencies around the nation carry were NOT purchased and issued out to the "troops" because the 9 Minimal is more "effective". One major manufacturer and supplier of many thousands of 9s to Law Enforcement, all but gives their 9s away. Folks who have never worked for a government agency, or have very little experience with their purchasing practices, are not aware that in the eyes of the "bean counters" cheap is good, if it breaks, we'll just buy another one just like it because they are so cheap, which is also known as low bid. You might also be unaware that many if not most agencies only "qualify" their Officers/Deputies/Troopers/Agents two to maybe three times a year. If an LEO or LEOs in those agencies wants to become more proficient with their service pistol they have two options.....Buy range/practice ammo out of their own pockets or try to convince those in charge of range/practice ammo in their agency/department to come off a box or two in between qualifications. The vast majority of LEOs get very little range time in and are not very good shots at all. Thus, we come to the "magic" of the high capacity 9 Minimal where spray and pray is more common than accurate, effective fire from a superior caliber such as the ones that start with a four.

@@furmanmackey5479 dude I know plenty of LEOs who, have been in dangerous situations, and prefer 9mm any day of the week. Softer recoil leads to faster & more accurate follow up shots. Thats just facts. But Keep believing in your fudlore that 40 "short & weak" is superior. There are plenty of ballistic gel test that show 9mm preforming as good if not better than most 40.

They do. But the carry mags have a small gap in the XL I believe.

I’m curious about the recoil spring weight. I’m assuming the spring on the Carry model is the same as the XL. The original gx4 has a much heavier spring.

@@imaphxaznative in my opinion yes. My 3in barrel Gx4 actually shoots more flat than my XL. At least that’s how it feels to me.

Well, of course, the longer grip is going to be more enjoyable to shoot, it's going to be more ergonomic and will help you be more accurate. Also, you are getting more accuracy from the longer barrel in the GX4 carry. A full size gun shoots more accurately than a micro pistol all day long. Also, will be easier to shoot. Thanks for letting us see all 3 in the same video but I'm not surprised that you like the Carry better.

I have a 13 rd mag for my tauras gx4 and if I have all 13 rds in the mag it won’t feed properly so I have to only have 12 in it . Anyone else had this problem ?

I couldn't shoot the original gx4 with any kind of accuracy. Had the sights replaced, still couldn't be accurate with it. I know it was me just not being able to adjust to the hump on the grip I believe.

Why would I change? NOTE: My GX4 is not part of the recall. I bought my GX4 for my NEW EDC in June 2021 and have had 0, No, issues to this date and have run over 2900 rounds. Wasn't looking for a firearm that was Optics ready or had a 'rail'. I wanted a small 9mm that would be the best for self defense, concealment, yet have quality and be dependable. I wasn't going to be in any shooting competition with the GX4 as I have other firearms for that. Purchased the GX4 at my local Scheels and got the last one in stock at that time - 329.00. Received the pinky extensions (2) for the two 11 rd mags that were included and that completed the grip for me....good to go with my pinky on board. Of course my 13 rd mag comes with the extension. That's all I needed to do to get the GX4 the way I wanted it on my hip...or wherever I carry it. Recently upgraded to the Tru-Glow sights which is a great add-on over the factory sights. Also have now a Viridian Red Laser which was an easy mount not having a rail. Added recently also the Hogue HandALL Beavertail Grip Sleeve specifically for the GX4 and GX4XL. Do some have issues, sure they do. Did some Shield Plus have issues? Did the Sig P365 have any issues? Did the Glock 42 or 43 have issues? It’s a big yes to all.

@PEWPEWNATION I love the original gx4 for what it is concealability wise, I would try the (carry) slide for the pic rail on the original gx4 otherwise stick with the taurus g2 or g3 series. I just seen a guy with 15 rd ext mag on the gx4 with tlr light and ported barrel.idk how without a pic rail, maybe it's a proprietary fit. I heard u say the 3 gx4s shot different but idk how man there damn near identical thank for the content tho exactly the video I seached for. Do a table top comparison. I'm sure viewers would tune in to get a closer look at sizes

@PEWPEWNATION all jokes aside. THIS is the best video I have found on the new gx4 carry. You got them all. I like the way the gx4xl looks. I'm gonna assume that a bunch of "gun people " are like me and 50-99% of my buying decisions on guns are looks 😆 and the gx4xl looks better to me.

@rickytaylor5076 I loved the XL since it came out. I like this new Carry better. It ads just enough frame and that tiny weight up front from the extra plastic for the rail gives it a better balanced feel. All three are great options though.

I can't shoot my xl worth a crap. I constantly shoot low. Is it me likely but it's because me the grip and trigger don't agree with each other. I can shoot my 365 with xl grip on it and stoegar str9mc exact point of aim.

Typical sight picture is for the target ball to sit on top of the front sight. Taurus zeroes the sights for the front sight to be placed on the center of the ball. That will explain why your shooting low.

The point of the GX4 is it’s diminutive size combined with it’s 11+1 capacity for edc. The GX4 carry is a compact pistol Not a micro. If I were going to carry something as big as the GX4 carry I would choose the Hellcat pro. It’s shorter in height and it’s thinner and it weighs less. It still has 15+1 capacity and does it with a flush fit magazine.
