With such actors as De Vito, Lloyd and Hirsh, not to mention the clever writing, this show had pure gold in it.

Louie can be evil sometimes. But this is a case where I say justice. This rich kid was exploiting someone who really didn't have much money. After losing $200., Louie gave him a chance to walk away a winner. But he just had to push one more time. And it was rather satisfying to see Louie strike back with a vengeance. It doesn't take much to see the kid's pleas were a 'just in case' backup plan. And Louie handled this in a devilishly clever manner. You go Louie!

I know Louie was just a little wrong for taking the money at the end, but he was ao sweet to the kid for that 20 seconds. 😭😭💗💗

That was a win-win. That kid would have just called his parents and told them the envelope got stolen, and they would have wired him more money

I remember. When all the taxi drivers were each telling a story of their best day of being a taxi driver including Louie when he used to be one. One of my favs.

Something I don’t get it is that if Louie was so poor, how did he happen to have $1000 in the cab that night to make the bets. He had the $200 for the first two bets and then the final bet he had another $800 By the inflation calculator that is worth over $4600 today.

Well actually I paid 3500 cash, that I've been holdin for awhile, for a used vehicle just a few months ago. So that sounds about right to me.
