After losing almost all of my 20s from 18 to 29 in prison I can truly relate to everything Tax said in this video! And I must say in many ways I grew tremendously mentally in prison and in many ways my growth was stunted but I will say I realized that it is insane to be in prison working for 35 cents day and gain time but won't work for minimum wage in the free world. The hard truth is if you have a record out here you gonna have to either create your own lane occupationally or work like two ppl to attain the things you want and need out here bcuz this world is quite unforgiving. But I am proof that it can be done with discipline and determination, it's been 10 yrs for me being home and moving in a positive direction

FINALLY!!!!!! I've been saying this for years!! This is one of the most destructive things adults can do for children. Tell your children that some nameless, faceless group is out to get them simply because of the color of their skin. They will never succeed in that environment. Taxstone is telling you what that did to him. Now the real question is, when are parents going to stop teaching their children this?

The saddest thing about this is that it's still true. He reminded me of the one scene in Menace to Society when he went to prison and was like it's like a rite of passage to go to jail. The sad thing is that it's just a home away from home for a lot of brothers. Institutionalized.
