The Grand Pacific Series, of course, has the V-class bracing, but these guitars also pack some serious tone and sound. The guitar Brett is playing has a Sitka spruce top, rosewood back and sides, west African Ebony fretboard, fretboard binding, headstock overlay, and bridge. This guitar sustains, it is loud, it truly does it all.

717E just has so much power in it! I tried it two days in a row at the NAMM show and it just blew anything I played at the WINTER NAMM Away!....I want one!

Just purchased a 717e GP Builder's Edition with the wild honey burst based on lots of youtube reviews. I have a Taylor 314ce and was looking at some classic Martins but to me this 717 has a nice blend of a Martin with the brightness (and the new v-bracing) of the Taylor...sounds like best of both worlds which is hard to find.

Grand Pacifics are absolute game changers for dreads.. have a 517 and its like my vintage Guild d25M on roids w/ class.. 717 makes my 77 Martin d35 seem hollow somehow. Just mind blowing as you note. kapow

I want. Keep one on hand. I recently purchased an HD-28 from another dealer and am not satisfied. I'm looking to a 717 next.

roostershooter76 Hey :) I purchased the HD28V and enjoyed it but returned it after two weeks and picked up a 717e - phenomenal guitar! Taylor’s build quality is simply a level above the Martin. What I really love though is that it sounds so different and inspires me to try new stuff.

Is the body super big compared to other Taylor’s? I have a 324ce that’s so perfect but I want this guitar so bad the 717e. I just want to be sure it’s not too good to be true and bulky like you said. I am not a huge guy with long arms. I am not a small child either. I’m like 5’11”. Please let me know. Thanks!!-Ryan
