After Dear John was released he allegedly tried to sue Taylor. When that failed he wrote a revenge song (paper doll) allegedly he’s kept trying to sue her, wrote her angry mails during all the years since. Would’ve could’ve should’ve which also is about John was released when Taylor was 32 and it’s track 19 on the album. This relationship and the one with Jake Gyllenhaal really seems to have impacted her, her self worth and self esteem. She talks about this also on her latest album.
