in one part of the song it says "the stars in your eyes shined brighter in tupelo". supposedly is tupelo, the city but if you think about it it doesn't have much to do with teylor and sometimes the subtitles are wrong it could be "las estrellas en tus ojos brillaron más en tu pelo" as a reference because selena is latina Tu pelo= your hair

I don’t want to believe this tbh because to me Dorothea feels like it’s about an ex friend that grew out of you and left you behind and I don’t believe that Selena and Taylor are ex friends. Especially since they recently defended each other in the Haley drama and Selena went to Taylor’s show with Gracie like 2 weeks ago.
