This song reflects my love story. I had a boyfriend (he's my first love) who I was forced to break up with because my parents wanted me to finish school first (that wouldn't be anytime soon but ig it's 5 years from now). We promised each other that we're gonna wait because we were that in love and I didn't really want to let go in the first place. My own take: A girl who loves to read, she loves reading stories especially love stories She hasnt had actual experience with love and her parents weren't really showing it so she didnt know much about it, making her think that the love in her books was the same in real life A boy moved next to them, he was a boy who had multiple relationships in the past but none of them felt genuine to him they became great friends and started falling for each other, and since the girl's parents werent really pro on this plan, they did it secretly and they would hide and every time they were together the girl would tell him how she wished to run away and live her life with a man she loved, just like the ones in her books. She would also pretend to be Juliet and the boy was Romeo since "Romeo and Juliet" was her favorite story The girl's father found out, he would shut them out saying she didnt know much about love and that she should stop being so silly because she only read about it in stories, telling her that they'll just end up like him and the girl's mom. The boy, on the other hand, he loved her but at first he was hesitant if this one was real. "I keep waiting for you but you never come" He didnt come because he was giving it a thought and its "love story" because when they got together it still reminded of the girl about all the stories she read Yes its weird-
