mcfly craze yeah i love that about her albums. I dont know any american singers who does this except for taylor. But also almost every kpop star or group does this. I think if other celebrities do this, they will sell way more albums

In kpop its a normal album in west kpop style package are called box sets. As far as I remember Katy Perry teenage dream., paramore brand new eyes and Brendan urie even halsey badlands and lana del rey for honeymoon and the 1975 have done it. Paramore had a vinyl along with the cd in their brand new eyes box set. Sadly box sets by international artist are rare and western singers don't take chances compared to K-Pop. Box sets in the west are more of collectors edition and extra merch.

@@gulrezkazi agree and I think most western fans doesn't care if the albums are fancy or plain boring they are more excited to listen on the music I guess. And if you are really an avid fan they will purchase the limited edition, but mostly comes out ib vinyl. And in Kpop this is just normal while in Jpop there are two types, the normal version (CD and clear case only) and the deluxe version (CD+DVD+photobook). In Korea you have no choices it all comes out with photobook it just you have to choice which version but in States I guess there are limited edition one and in Japan there are Normal version and the Deluxe version.

@@faaaduma nope i don't agree with that.. they're cute but those are the standard albums you can buy... Just an album enclosed with a plastic cover and has the cd and lyrics in it! Have you seen this album of taylor on how different it is from the album of her peers? This might be more expensive than the regular album but it looks like a gift with those bags, posters, photo books etc! Just look at some kpop album online... One of my fave kpop group EXO has this album called EXODUS and has 24 versions of the song in gold and silver! I know that is stupid hella expensive but the aesthetic of the album is just superb! While here, she releases a box set with all those goodies! That's just so beautiful! Its really like opening a gift and you'll get excited with all those things you'll get inside.. unlike those other albums that they're just the plain old plastic cd and its lyric booklet... Stuff like this keeps the kpop physical album going because even though the fans don't use/play the CDs because we have streaming sites now, we still buy their albums because of how goodlooking it is and with all those photocards that we could get and also posters

That’s exactly what I’ve been saying since I got into kpop! You need to encourage the consumer to buy your physical album despite streaming services being the primary source of listening. Photo cards and books alone would probably get people to buy physical albums even if they knew they weren’t gonna use the CD plate. The kpop style western album wave is coming and I wouldn’t be shocked if every major release from here on out was packaged like this.

Red and lover are my favorite albums that taylor has released the songs from red half of them i would always hear back when i was in kindergarten 9 years ago but didnt know it was taylor bc i was only 6 and lover brings back memories because i always heard Me! and Lover back in 2019 not to mention the album covers for these 2 are amazing i love taylor

We all know that kpop groups do that ages ago and the album had different versions and each includes different themes for the photo book, photo cards, posters, the CD, the notes and in case of bts there are other extra things that you get according to what you're buying like getting a diary of one of the members in summer package. So it's a common thing in kpop

kevnizzle Standard doesnt have the 2 voice memos,but if you aren't interested in the boxset,you can buy the book version since it includes it.

Yes the deluxe does have the 2 voice memos which are not on the Standard CD, but if you buy all 4 deluxe journals you will get 4 of the exact same deluxe disc.

Book versions are deluxe editions,each have 2 bonus song voice memos
