I don't follow Taylor Swift closely but this song honestly made my eyes water. The whole "🐍" nonsense said far more about the celebs that joined the bandwagon then it ever did about Swift. It was truly a new low of bullying put on show by celebrities.

Heather honestly, I know this sounds bad but I’m so glad that this whole “snake” thing came about for Taylor. That’s where reputation rose from, and GOSH DARN I love that album so much. I just loved that snake motif + that she turned the negativity into her symbol.

We don't consider it to be about high school, but it does picture clearly this scenery. The point is in symbols in this scenery and for me, they're about underdogs, people who are different in any way and also about the politics and what politics does to people.
