i haven't watched an award show in a decade but i watched the golden globes and watched it tank. I said, "OH F**K, things haven't changed much but i love Trevor Noah and had to watch. He did not disappoint at all. Perfect hosting. Now I will have to go back to his past hosting of the Grammy's.

It is ridiculous to complain about the cut-aways to Taylor Swift when it was only about 25 seconds of the game cumulatively. And, secondly, no one complained about the NFL cutting away to Eminem during the Detroit Lion’s games. People need to quit their whining.

Jo Koy - I didn’t like the “joke” Barbie was a movie about a plastic doll with big boobies. Just seemed unfunny and juvenile. I think his Taylor Swift joke was okay, but the weird thing was everyone was complaining about TS reaction which actually was a non-reaction. Some people kept saying she should have smiled or laughed. Give me a break. I think Trevor has it right. It is not a celebrity roast. He is the host. Imagine going to a party and the host of the party roasts you and makes unfunny digs at you. If you are going to do that, you have to be very d@mn funny.

I love everything Trevor does. He's able to adapt to just about anything. As for Taylor and the NFL, Graeme, Taylor hasn't complained. Despite some NFL fans being angry at her, over something she has zero control over. They should complain to the NFL. Their complaints, however, will fall on deaf ears. Because her presence brought millions in revenue to the NFL. So they're gonna ride that wagon-train till the wheels fall off. And there is nothing Taylor can do about that. As for JK, his entire routine was flat. And to add insult to injury, he began whining about the amount of time he had to prepare, and threw writers under the bus. Not acceptable. Back to Trevor, I love how he's funny, without making anyone the butt of his jokes. THAT is a rarity, and very much appreciated by celebs and fans alike.

It has been measured by some US news outlets that TS was shown only for 17 to 34 seconds in almost 4 hours broadcast for the games she attended. They never showed her while the game was happening but after a play happened. So these intolerant ppl that can't take 5 seconds of TS or any other celebrity have to learn from NBA fans who are totally unbothered by celebrities at their games.

When we talk comedy we are talking Trevor Noah. He has got a fresh type of comedy. Humorous but kind and interesting. Not the type that are noisy, and the owners laugh at their own jokes when the audience should be laughing.

I know everyone says that celebrities should take a joke but they come to awards shows to be appreciated, not busted on like the paparazzi or their haters do to them all the time. We can see all the negativity about any celebrity any time we want. I came to watch celebrities dress up, win awards, perform & build each other up just the way their work boosts us up. Trevor did a great job showing how the industry should praise those getting the awards & celebrate everyone’s work that gives back to us. Otherwise it’s cringy & uncomfortable to have them come get awards while making fun of them. It’s not a celebrity roast, it’s an awards show.

I think Trevor was the best. This guy thinking otherwise is so clueless as to what has been going on with everyone dishes out the hate at Taylor being seeing on TV during football games. It was worn out since September and the hate for her was over the top. It’s sexism when men were mad at her when she has no control over it but they’re not offended by Eminem, Drake, JayZ, Matthew M. at Univ. of Texas games. Women are sick of the sexism being shown to her.

I heard from somewhere that they counted the number of SECONDS Taylor Swift was shown on screen during a football game and it was something like 54 seconds. She is hardly the only celebrity being cut to in sports events. If you think 54 seconds is "a lot" and interferes watching the game, I think you take football more seriously than I do.

Trevor comes from a country where even politicians laugh at his jokes about them and those jokes are not exactly complimentary but well presented and respectful too 😅😅😅😅

But they are not showing her a lot or during gameplay. They show her less than a minute total and it does not interfere with the game.

Trevor did an amazing job. The issues with Taylor is that the NFL has used HER. She’s not asking them to promote her or any project she is part of. They have chosen to show her and exhaust the viewers but only because it was making them money. She was just there to support her boyfriend. She has a thick skin but the jokes get old after awhile, and Jo Koy’s joke just fell flat. But because Taylor didn’t laugh the blame gets out on her, once again…..

This Super Bowl broke all viewing records -- the most-watched telecast in history . All due respect to Patrick Mahomes' mom :) but all the "new" fans" (with their credit cards and spending money) were happy to have some extra shots of Swift and her celebrity filled booth. This was a calculated business move. It's about money.

Jo Koy's joke was poorly delivered and was preceded by other bad jokes, that were poorly received by the entire room. Additionally, the joke was preceded by literally *months* of sexist, often MAGA-related posts on social media making the *same* bad joke, so it lacked originality, and must be understood in that context. The whole point is that Taylor is *NOT* actually shown that much during games. In fact, they barely show her at all -- usually a few times totalling about 20 seconds during a 3-hour broadcast. The people complaining about her at the games are either sexist, or subconsciously threatened by powerful women, or mad that she doesn't support Trump, or want to blame her for any Chiefs loss ("she's distracting him!"), or want to blame her for any Chiefs win ("the games are rigged for publicity!") I could say more, but I hope that helps to better understand where people are coming from.

I'm usually a fan of Jo Koy's but he wasn't funny that night and you could tell all the jokes were just lame things people think of when they think of that star. Leo stopped laughing at the jokes about the age of his girlfirends years ago but the jokes remain unfunny and no one calls him a bad sport about it.
