The former either coming out really great with grand instrumentations and interesting song-writing or just alright, feeling a bit dull and boring; the latter feeling mostly poorly aged and out of place.

For your awareness, the re-recorded albums (Taylor’s Versions) are meant to devalue the original masters that her label sold out from under her, despite writing every song and wanting to own her artistic work. Because you’re diving into her work for the first time, listening to the original versions is fine. But it’s worth noting that the re-records have extra “vault tracks” that were written during that time but never released.

@@therealnewdi would say it’s only better in the way that her voice is clearer, the production is more potent, and there are nine extra “vault” tracks on the taylor’s version album.
