**CORRECTION: The system I referred to at ~6:16 for recycling up to 3 tonnes of wool and cotton is the (already achieved!) goal for a similar mechanical textile recycling approach, also developed by HKRITA, which operates at an industrial scale at a different location (in a Tai Po factory). I mixed up the two locations when doing research (G2G at The Mills is a smaller scale demonstration of the full upcycling process). Just wanted to correct and clarify this! I got emotional when I saw the ceramic painter. I have a degree in art history so my heart breaks when I see this kind of traditions dying, and seeing people like him keeping up even if it's so though to compete against manufactures... idk I just admire that a lot. Thanks for sharing this view on the local art of hong kong.

You have such a young demographic, I'm glad you have published a few videos discussing the loss of Hong Kong's unique food stands, and a few of the craft and art forms currently endangered. Hopefully, your videos will generate a new following of people able to embrace and support these traditions before they are lost forever.

I am shook by the socks into the sweater thing. This needs to catch on everywhere. I'm really curious as to whether they can upcycle synthetic material as well, since so much fast fashion is synthetic or mixed fiber. I also neeeeeeeeeeeeeed those teacups! But I imagine they're hundreds of dollars. Definitely heirloom pieces.

From a fashion major, go get it accessed and make sure it’s actually authentic. A few girls from the school I go to worked or are working for TheRealReal. They don’t train their authenticators enough, they are also given a high daily quota and are barely trained so they’ve been having problems with many fakes making it on the website and being sold. Only a few items are actually authenticated by their head authenticators. Some fakes are so good unless you’ve had at least a month of training you won’t catch it. One of the girls I went to school with said she left this year because she found out how little the people who authenticate are trained! Be careful everyone with this website and if you order get it authenticated else where because if it’s a fake they’ll refund you.

Hey Taylor! Wow, I'm very impressed by this video! All the stories of those people and their businesses are so interesting and precious! It's so inspiring to see those people being so passionate about their job, it's really touching. 😭 The canton porcelain is so beautiful, it's a shame that such incredible craftsmanship is getting lost. I'd love to visit those shops after the pandemic, also a part 2 would be wonderful! (but no pressure!) ^^ Thank you so much for this video!!

More artisan shops please! 😍 to spread the word about other dying arts... and I would love it if you did longer interviews about the history and cultural significance of the artwork/product. Would also love more content on shops that champion sustainability. Looking forward to part 2 ☺️
