Yeah I was thinking that. We react very strongly to the color red, which is why it's typical warning sign, but it also mean the chameleon would stick out. I assume that's intention on the part of the chameleon.

Guys, empathy =/= emotions. They can basically know that you are good for them (and I'm pretty sure they can like you too) but they don't give a shit about you when you're away but only about the fact that they don't get food/water anymore. Thats what it means as far as I understand animals.

So for those of you coming back through here because this was in your recommended, there's a common myth about chameleons that I need to inform you of because it's relevant to this video: chameleons have a docile color scheme which changes based on temperature and includes natural, camouflaging colors. They also have an emotional color scheme designed to impress the ladies, which includes bright, non-camouflaging colors. Seeing as nowhere in the world that chameleons live does the land look like a candy-cane murder scene, this chameleon is not just happy to see his owner, he LOOOOOOOVES his owner. Big time. Like, almost romantically. It's really sweet. This dude is so happy that he looks at this human with the same fondness as a member of his own species. That's true love folks, and you can't fake that for the internet.

Um... It's pretty common. My dogs literally try to murder each other but insist on sleeping *under* my body. They're *obsessed* and sit at my feet when I'm on the toilet, lie down behind my step ladder, etc. Interesting enough, they also have a tell that show's me they love me "almost romantically" 😆 Well the two boys have a tell anyways... the girl doesn't have lipstick to pop out 😆 I think animals usually love us more than each other; don't you think?
