This song hits differently once you become a parent yourself. I remember listening to this song wishing so badly I could sing it to my parents but they just didn’t fit this at all. I want to give this feeling to my daughters. I love them so so much.

Same. Most people wish they could have a lovely positive stable family like Taylor Swift's but reality is most don't have that. And it's fine. We didn't choose to be in the family that we were born into. We can still love and jam to this song and we can make our own families the way we want to - which hopefully will be as beautiful as this song describes.

When this song first came out originally I ran to my granny (who raised me and adopted me at birth) and told her that it was our song. She smiled at me and listened to the whole song and agreed. I have tons of video and photos of my children and I’m so glad I do, but I’m also a little sad that I’m rarely in them. I was always behind the camera. Young Moms, please pass the camera to someone else and preserve memories of yourself with your family. Your kids will want them someday. I used to listen to this song when I felt lonely or sad and this song always made me remember that I have the best family and I’m okay. Now I’m listening to this song while I’m writing letters to my family at the night before my wedding.

lost my mom at 22 too in May 2021. truth is, you'll never be okay with their loss, but knowing that you carry them within you, & that you can fulfill their dreams they had for themselves or for you could be your purpose to take their legacy onwards. i hope you find peace ❤
