@@kristiearriving1071 I unfortunately never got to try the CYO so I can’t compare. Another foundation I tried recently that I also love is from LYS. These two and Urban Decay Hydromaniac are the only three newer ones I’ve tried in the past few years that I have actually liked.

I feel like the new L’Oréal True Match Hyaluronic Serum is a close dupe as far as coverage, finish, and wear! Just an FYI for those that maybe don’t wanna spend the 💰 . I actually returned the CT because I felt the L’Oréal was better 💕

I have oily skin and I actually really love this one! I powder in my oiliest areas but I leave the rest as-is, and what I like is that this foundation gives me a seamless blend - a lot of foundations will pool in my pores or catch on flaky bits from healing blemishes but this one glides over everything and melds with my skin. Throughout the day the coverage fades a bit but overall my skin stays smooth looking (it doesn't fade in obvious patches). And shade 1 is a perfect match for me 😊

I didn't realize how much I missed Foundation Fridays until I watched this. It was great!! Well, not the foundation. It just shouldn't be as finicky as it is. Looked really good most often but you want a foundation you can apply and forget about until later that night! Hope you're loving all the snow that recently fell up there. I moved far, far away from that and am happy to be down South where I belong!!

Ohh and BTW using a good humidifier will definitely keep your skin feeling and looking a lot more moisturized in the colder months. It’s a game changer for me!!!!!

I found a great humidifier, not cheap. No mold builds --the best. Pricey. You can wash it and keep from smelling and being moldy. Bought during black Friday. Miro, South Korean. Love it!

That foundation is great for all skin types. I loved it but it irritated my sensitive skin but I think it will work for oily or dry.

I have dry/normal skin. Ive been using the light magic cream, the foundation, a bit of charlottes powder, her setting spray and it literally stays put and looks beaitiful all day! I love it for everday wear!!

I received this foundation for free in an Influenster box. I was super excited to try it but I have had a lot of trouble making it work! My skin is dry and extra dry right now because of winter. I have to use a ton of moisturizer before hand or else I can’t get it to blend properly, it’ll just get really patchy. I also noticed it sitting on top of my baby hairs and texture when I wasn’t as moisturized. I almost think that it’s too much work for the price. However it does look really nice when I do put in the work. But I’ve got drug store foundations that are way less work for a fraction of the price.

I thought the exact same thing tbh, was looking far too heavy. I now do 2 drops foundation and 2 drops of the ordinary rosehip oil mixed together and then use a dense face brush to stipple and in and does look very pretty.

I haven’t bought a new foundation in a couple years but felt compelled to grab this. I have super oily skin that is now turning true-combo as I approach 30. I have large pores around my nose, this foundation looked terrible on my dry patches but INCREDIBLE on my pores. Totally smoothing. For that reason, I will be figuring out how to make it work!

I don't have this foundation but I have mostly combo skin and I use two different primers on different parts of my face especially in the summer when I need oil control the most and it works really well! Try a really hydrating primer on the dry patches maybe. I use the elf jelly pop dew primer and its AMAZING for my dry patches with every foundation I've tried. Then if I'm really really oily I'll use the elf matte putty primer on my oilier areas. Good luck with the foundation!

I never wore foundation as I am old (going to 55 in 3 month 🥺) Yes I have been blessed with good Sicilian skin but also I always hated the feeling like I needed to scratch my face off. But I ALWAYS loved to watch you amazing foundation reviews. Now that you have similar skin to mine dry and you are not using full coverage as much, I am looking forward to FF! We are literally the same height and have that type A work ethic and I was born with a chronic illness (that I don’t share and trust me never give you advice!). I too once traveled around the world for volunteer work but have been CRAVING living in london for a year but with my work it is harder. This may sound corny but YOU inspire ME. First of all: you are not old and never will be!!! 🖤 So, I also hate that sticky feeling. But there are foundations out there, where you don't feel a thing! Try the Essence Pretty Natural. Very affordable and - of course - one of her recommendations! If you apply it with your fingers, it's extra natural and non-sticky. Oh, and I have dry skin as well.

Try wearing a powder foundation instead, if you don't like the feeling of creams on your face. There's lots on the market. I like the Bare Minerals one. It gives a lovely finish, and doesn't look cakey. There are plenty of drug store options that are good too, and a little more med-full coverage ones. Maybe you'll feel more comfortable with that! You can control how much you put on more easily. HTH! BTW, you're not old lol. I'm 52 soon. Celebrate your age! 💖🏴

@@lindatannock I'm in my 50's and I love using a powder foundation. I've used one since HG. Last yr I did try a BB cream (one from Mac) and the W&W tinted hydrator. Out of the 2 I love the way the hydrator along with just a tad of my powder foundation looks on my skin. The hydrator tends to even out my skin tone and I get the amount of coverage I'm looking for with the powder. I'm one who doesn't like the feel of too much on my skin. With the amounts of both products it works and I don't feel a thing... 👍

Girl, 55 is not old. I hate foundation that dosnt dry down. It makes me super itchy sor some reason. I get it in a sauna and swimming pool when my face starts getting wet aswell.

This foundation actually last pretty well for me. I have dry skin and it's cold were I'm at for reference. I use Tacha dewy skin cream lotion and then use the ulta brand hydrating primer, this combo works best imo. I've tried other combos but so far this works best.

Can I just say I love how everything you do is on one channel? Ive watched you for YEARS now and I know for a lot of channels a lot of their audience likes 2 channels (for lifestyle and etc and then a beauty fashion one), but you are someone who doesnt need one because you are so watchable and all your content is interesting. Also you have such a great following base that also loves it all (honestly probably one of the most mature and nicest viewers so I have noticed). I love how you can post your makeup videos AND your lifestyle stuff and I dont have to go searching through multiple channels to find it, and everything is here and I can bop around videos all in one area. Im glad you did that!

I don’t know what my skin is like these days anymore, a mix between normal and combo with large pores on my cheeks. I absolutely LOVE this foundation. It looks like a filter on the skin 🤩 I set it with my Givenchy loose powder and it lasts pretty well ❤️ I don’t mind the dewiness too much ✨

Hey Taylor! Try the "reverse" method with this foundation; where in this order you moisturize, prime, dust on a little translucent powder, setting spray THEN foundation and setting powder. This might help with longevity.

In my opinion, I think it looks fine. The glow looks healthy and not greasy at all. I’m combo oily and many foundations get really slippery looking but good ones won’t also break down but there’s a fine line so I get it. I learned that a tap of translucent powder in the T Zone after primer or in place of it helps with both extra glow and visible breakdowns. I have oily skin and I love it! I apply it with my fingers and set it with powder, and it lasts pretty well on me. I've worn this for 8+ hours with periods of mask wearing, and by the end of the day I look oily but not greaseball oily. It does fade a bit but in a very uniform way. I wouldn't say it's oil absorbing but it is oil controlling.

I have lived in NYC my entire life; but when I started to visit my husband’s family in Austin Texas I realized how different our skin can be. I honestly think it is the water we use on the east coast, not just the air. There is more of certain minerals where you are. My skin does so much better here… in fact it’s like I cleared up and glow more… and I made sure it’s not just bc I was consistent with skincare and applied the same at home. So much influencers our skin’

You look so good in Pink! I have this foundation over 2 weeks now. I have normal to dry skin. Looks great when I first apply it but it doesn't last well on my skin. I prep, set and use with all CT products, including her setting spray but I still don't like how it wears. I prefer my other foundations, include my catrice foundation more to be honest!!

I'm a North East native. Do you use a lot of hyaluronic acid in your skincare? I'm sure you know this, but the idea is it pulls moisture from the air to your skin. Our air is so dry in the winter that there's no moisture to pull, and it ends up pulling it *from your skin*. This stuff is so hyped and no one talks about this aspect (I have to assume this is also true in Arizona heat in the summer, for example?). Anyway, try eliminating that from your skincare and see if things improve.

Oh the lord thank you for remind me this. I totally forgot. I have been using HA for almost two years now and a couple a days ago I started to feel my skin more dry it's really cold at the moment, where I live, now I feel so stupid. Because hello is winter I know how does it works but last winter I wasn't using it so I never realized that using my ha now might be the reason why my skin has been so dry out. I feel like I'm on the point were my skincare rutine has become too much for me and I've been just doing it wrong might be my mental health who knows but damm.

I completely agree with your review Taylor. I am a few decades older than you, I have normal skin and I mostly use radiant foundations, however, this one makes me look like a glowey mess and I’ve tried it with several different primers, setting sprays etc. What I did find works is when I mix it with a small amount of the NARS soft matte foundation and use mattifying primer- then it’s pretty good. I will use it, however I probably would not re-purchase it. I had really high hopes for this one to begin with.

This is my favorite foundation. I like to use the Airbrush flawless powder with it and I top it with the setting spray as well. It will not look oily at all. The first time I used it, it made me oily too but if you use the powder and setting spray it’s so much better. This is the only foundation that doesn’t not make my pores stand out and it does not crease on my fine lines/expression lines.

The cold winter new England air will do a number on your skin. My combo skin gets very dry in winter. Paula's choice toner is great on my skin in summer, super drying in winter.

I have very dry skin….I really like the foundation 👍🏻 I do set with powder. I set all my foundations with powder. Kosas cloud set powder…..is my fave. I have skin with no natural moisture….I’m going thru chemo right now….it makes my skin extremely dry. Don’t think oily skin would like this….unless you like super dewy. My thoughts are….it’s a good foundation. Give it a go! Love your content Taylor💗

Hi! Welcome to the East coast! I moved from the Midwest to the east coast a few years back and the water really changed my skin and hair. A water filter helped a ton. Lifestraw makes some filter bottles you could travel with.

I have a bit of combo skin and it works pretty well. For my 47 yr old skin. Doesn't look cakes or settle in my fine lines ect...happy with it

I like this foundation.i have dry skin and I do have to strategically powder when I put in on. I use the by terry pressed powder and I'm good got the day. The sheseido radiant synchro is my favorite right now. On my dry ski. The finish and wear time is better.

So weird. The CT didn’t look half as dry on me as the Radiant Synchro. What kind of primer do you use? I couldn’t get it to work with any of mine.

I live in MA and my skin is acne prone and dry and flaky in my t zone. My face hurt so bad from being dry I used Aquaphor Baby (my daughter's butt cream lol) on my face out of desperation (overnight) and it has brought the moisture back in my skin and resolved the dry flakiness!!! I bought the REN overnight balm and that works alright but the Aquaphor Baby is much more cost effective, works waaaay better, and no new breakouts.

I am 47 normal to dry skin. Loved your review I think your the first I have seen with an honest review about it. 😊 First time trying anything from Charlotte Tilbury. I’m not sure how I feel about it. The first time I put it on was super excited because of all the hype. I wasn’t too impressed I used Milk gripping primer also first time using that with a sponge. Probably wasn’t a good idea it did not set well in my pores. The second time I tried it with tarte timeless primer and benefit poreless my holy grail of mixed primers. Usually I don’t have any problems with those two , it was okay. I used a brush, So I’m still on the fence about it I’m going to try again with a different moisturizer, no primer and no powder.

Same exact experience. Upon application seems like it’ll be the foundation of your dreams but just doesn’t hold up well. Nars Light Reflecting is the foundation of my dreams AND holds up beautifully. I feel like it’s everything this foundation wanted to be and more. 🤷🏻♀️

If you’re looking for a pencil liner I highly recommend the Clio sharp so simple eyeliner. Eyeliner usually transfers on me but this one does not move a wink. Their kill lash mascara is also great, it keeps my lashes curled literally all day.

Hi Taylor, there a bunch of factors as to why your skin may be hating life right now. Water quality from the different places you've been staying (some showerheads have water filters), altitude / humidity and air quality /pollution can also contribute.
