When it comes to this song, I have a heartbreaking story. I had this teacher at my school, his name was Darren. He was really really cool and kind and I enjoyed having him as a teacher. A few years back, he lost his wife - he had two kids as well. I felt awful for him, although he was extremely resilient. He’d still be kind to us, and he was still a great teacher. One day, I sat down with him and showed him this song and I could tell he liked it - but I also knew that it made him sad. I could tell he barely holding it together. I wish I gave him a hug. He left not long after. I still miss him, even though he was a teacher, I thought he was easily one of the kindest people I’d ever met.
