My 2000 7.3, original owner that had my truck for only 4 months, installed the Tekonsha V in that little cubby hole and imo, I'm glad he didn't drill any holes in the dash, just the one down in behind the tbc that can't be seen anyway. Nice job looks good Mr. Powerstroke👍👍😄

I have the same P3 controller in 3 trucks, love it. in my '02 Excursion it was working perfect, then I went through a Car Wash that has the Under Body Sprayer, and now the controller is showing a fault.... dern it, sometimes, you just can't win.... leave it dirty and all works good, clean it up, get it wet, and problems show up 😶‍🌫

My 06 6.0 doesnt have a TBC yet I have a constant tbc fault on the dash? Just the pocket with the harness attached to the back.

Has the pcm ever been changed or reflashed? If so it may be programmed for it and seeing that the tbc isn’t there.

@AutomedicGarage I am not the original owner, so I honestly do not know. I do know that there was an aftermarket controller installed, but only the mount was there when I purchased it. I am guessing I may have to take a trip to ford and have it removed unless I can remove it with forscan lite on my tablet. My dash setup sucks it's an XL and has no control to clear the fault, so the only display I have ever seen is "TBC FAULT"

One goes to your rear trailer plug the other powers the factory tbc and relays info back to the pcm

Could low batteries give you a tbc fault on start up?

I guess anything is possible when it comes to low voltage but I haven’t seen it. It’s usually a ground problem or a actual internal problem with the TBC

@@AutomedicGarage Thanks brother. Just bought my first diesel Saturday. 06 F250 with 85,000 miles. It does have some issues. Very hard to start cold but once it’s started it runs fine. It’ll restart as long as it’s still up to temp. Just ordered a OBD2 dongle and will start troubleshooting when it comes in. Love your videos I’ve been binge watching your channel. I’ve learned a ton. Thanks man.
