I've seen 1/144 models becoming more popular recently, it looks like quite a nice scale to build!
@Modkits1312 жыл бұрын
It’s not my absolute favorite scale. But I do love how small it is compared to 1/72. And of course, 1/72 being my preferred choice. :)

I've heard mixed reviews of Minicraft kits, but seeing how well this one turned out I'm considering getting one. Great work!

Yeah, I’d say this kit is perfect for beginners because of its simplicity. But probably not so much for experts or veterans who want a better detailed kit.

I bought a Cessna 172 from them, I have to say, it's nicer than some big companies I've gotten kits from. Literally no flash, panel lines and details are perfect, detail on the engine is phenomenal

Once again he just throws it together and slathers on the paint and it's a masterpiece.................................

In this scale, there's not much more to it than that.

I was excited to see this video after seeing your posts of Instagram with this model in it. I am going to be honest here and say that I was sweating when watching some of the bits, especially the sanding bit. The model turned out better as the video progressed though, and I think you did great considering that you were trying some new and risky techniques like wet blending with Tamiya paints. The blending turned out decently in my opinion, especially on the top by the end. I also love the blue color here. Really nice choices you picked here. I was quite impressed with the small details like the kill counts. I have difficulty achieving such small details like that and I thought that was great how you made them look good at such a tiny scale. I also liked the wire going across the top of the plane. Probably my favorite detail on the model. I also liked the weathered look of the plane. You never see weathered planes like that often. I also think that the weathering like the dust helped cover up unintentional imperfections like stroke marks that were sometimes present in the video. I do think that you should keep painting with Vallejo or Ammo acrylic paints, but I commend you for experimenting with other brands as it is something I don't normally have the courage to try out, myself. Even though I prefer tank models, I appreciate seeing you trying other model types. Thank you for sharing your work once again!

Thank you again for your feedback and honest opinions. Sorry it took me so long to reply back to you. I prefer AFVs more as well. But I still plan on doing more variety of models to spice things up a bit. Especially with more aircraft in the future. :-)

I like the result. I saw Bob duckingtons comment and have to disagree with some points he made. This model has an individual character and for me this is much more important than perfectly executed techniques
@Modkits1312 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It means a lot to hear that from you. I appreciate it. I know the technique in the video was unorthodox and applied in a relatively decent matter in my opinion. But I’m still happy with how it turned out overall, especially with that rich blue. :-)
@markforster64578 ай бұрын
The results speak for themselves. Far superior to a "minions of orthodoxy" model plane that just rolled out of the factory door. IMHO. Thanks for this video!@@Modkits131

Amazing result! I really like the way you weather your models and make them look so realistic. Can you please build another 1/35 scale tank in the future?
@Modkits1312 жыл бұрын
Thank you I appreciate it. Yes I have some 1/35 models for future videos. So you’ll see them on the horizon. :)

Hello modkits, another great video from you, really enjoyed this one. Since I saw you doing some post shading with brushes which turned out pretty good in my opinion, here is some of my advice that you can try to make airbrush-like post shading with brushes: after applying the base color paint the inside panels one by one with lighter colors but before it gets the chance to dry, use a wet brush with no paint or a wet cotton bud and lightly tap the edges between the two colors to make smooth transition edges between the lighter and darker color, this technique is time consuming and not the easiest since you are working with fast drying acrylics but the result if done correctly makes airbrush smooth-like transition, and notably, retarded does help since you have more working time, I hope you will try this technique if you want, it also works for other type of paint jobs like multi color ones, for example 3 tone German camo when you need that smooth transition between the paints, have fun with your builds and take care!

Hi Modkits, I don't think I've ever seen you build and paint a plane. Excellent work as always! This is a very satisfying video to watch. See you next time
