Nice vocals and playing bud, thanks for the crash course of the features and the straightforward a/b demo made it easy to hear the big difference the pedal makes👍

Great performance! The pedal sounds good, but it is the singers skill that truly matters.

Hey thanks for watching and taking time to comment! I do appreciate that. I agree that it’s the skill of the performer that makes the difference. I personally am not a fan of auto tune on anything. Since I made this video, I use the pedal for everything but the pitch correct. Thanks again!

Im not sure but ‘ve felt the version 1 had a warmer sound and the reverb was better too. Im not sure if 12v or 9v there’s something about it. Of couse the v2 with the auto gain it helps a lot. Great demo as well.

Your voice sounds so much better without the Helicon-shit. You're a good singer, you don't need it !!

The MM does not have compression per the manual. It has noise gate, DesSer, and EQ only. However, Sweetwater description clearly states it has compression too, so, 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nice review and awesome voice!! I connect the pedal with my amp but the pedal only have the input for the mic, so could i connect the guitar directly to the amp to play and sing together?
@Quincyzmusic1
@Quincyzmusic1 Жыл бұрын
Hey there, yeah if you are using your amp for both your vocal and guitar,… if your amp has two channels, then one for your guitar and one from the mic mechanic for your vocal. Thank you for the compliment, I do appreciate it. :-)

greetings from the Philippines. thank you for the demo. have you tried using a condenser microphone with the pedal? it has built-in phantom power.
@seemycapeproductions7833
@seemycapeproductions7833 3 ай бұрын
Hello! You are welcome. I have not tried using a condenser microphone yet, but it’s a good idea! My guess would be that as long as the microphone has its own phantom power that it would work just the same.

When you connect the output of the mic mechanic2 to your mixer, do you use mic level or line level? Nice review by the way! 🙂

Hello! When using mine, I go from the out of the Mic Mechanic to a mic level input on the mixer. Hope that answers your question.

@@seemycapeproductions7833 Thank you. First I thought the output of the mic mechanic would be on line level, guess I was wrong.

I think the older Mic Mechanics with the gain knobs were hotter at the output. The newer Mic Mechanic 2 is more or less at unity gain when the Tone button is on. Oddly, it’s a smidge hotter than unity when the Tone is off. So I think it boosts the signal maybe 3dB or so and then the Tone button uses subtractive EQing to clean the sound and get it back down to unity gain.

I see a lot of reviews about the noise coming from this pedal, is it true? Not sure who to believe.
@seemycapeproductions7833
@seemycapeproductions7833 8 ай бұрын
I have not experienced noise issues. I will say when the pitch correction is engaged more than about halfway, there seems to be some artifacts created by the effect. I think that is fairly typical of most pitch correction. I only use the pedal for live application. I don’t know if there is more noise floor to signal ratio when using for recording. I really like this pedal. It really gives me control over my vocal.

@@Joseph124269 you are welcome. As you know…. When using pitch correction, less is always more. I usually have it as transparent as possible so that it just helps iron out the overall pitch. The verb and delay effects are pretty good and as mentioned in my first comment, it’s nice to have the control. There are times I will fill in for local worship leaders in the area and I feel more confident and comfortable knowing I have my sound. Good luck!

@@seemycapeproductions7833 Aw thank you. Please tag me because I was looking at buying one and I’m struggling to see if it’s worth it. Delay and reverb you get in the desk anyway and the tone button is really hard to make out. And for 170 or so quid? Eeesh.
