Thanks for your Dolomites series of videos. I think we will do the same places you visited. I don't believe you mentioned it, but how much did your car rental cost for the entire trip?

Thank you so much! My husband thought it was about €80 a day with insurance which we highly recommend you get:-)

hi, can i check how long is the journey? and for toll wise,. whats the mode of payment? Do you pump any petrol throughout the journey?

Hi Liana. It was about 2:45 from point to point. I heard it would take longer when there is traffic. We paid 8.10 euros for toll going to Cortina. I don't remember how much coming back. I don't remember paying coming to Venice. Yes, we filled up the tank before we drove back to Venice to drop off the car. Very difficult to figure how to use the card to pay. We ended up using cash. However, they don't make change so just use smaller bills until you fill up the tank.

This is great! Thinking of doing a day trip from venice to cortina and the 3 peaks. Would you say renting and driving out is a good idea? Is the drive relatively easy or there are some catches?

Hello! I am excited for you! The drive is straightforward except for the hairpin curves as you get towards Cortina and the peaks. If coming from Venice for the day, I would assume you have to start really early to get to the peak and park up there. If not, there are buses near the peak that you can take up to the beginning of the hike. I hope this helps.

Thank you for the information! You are wonderful! Would you have any idea on how far it is from Cortina to the peaks? How early should we really leave for? Was looking at buses -- does it take you directly to the hike area (what is the trail head)? THANK YOU AGAIN!

Hello we are planning a 12 trip the Dolomites this September and will be dividing our time between cortina and Oritsei ..my question is about laundry of all things as we will be both hiking and mountain biking …did your hotel have a laundry or did you find laundromat? I see some hotels offer a service but have heard this can be expensive…thankyou again and I’m really enjoying your Dolomites series..

Hello!!! I am so excited for you! Yes there are laundromats in both places. Our hotel didn’t have one but there was one near it. I just use google to search and map one. We actually used one before we left for Austria. Have fun!

Hello! That will be awesome! Italian drivers are fast lol. If renting a car get an automatic. The drive to Cortina is straightforward. The drive to the trails are a bit tricky with hairpin bends. It is a very scenic drive! Have fun!

Thank you for watching. They didn't really insist on it. We also rented it through my husband's corporate account so maybe that was one of the reasons why?
