Thanks Darko for your help last year with my c825....landed up getting the 65" and still loving it. Must say the calibration settings you have picked are very similar to mine....great minds think alike haha...was wondering if you can do a video on the Hisense U9h ( not sure on the model name in Europe, in Australia it is the u9hau, I believe they are identical TV's). It is great to see a reviewer who caters for people in Europe Africa and Asia Pacific region and not just north America.

Thanks just got the same tv. I'm guessing this is for general/streaming content, right? How about for PS5? Aside from game mode, are there specific picture settings you set for your PS5 like those brightness/contrast/dynamic settings? I've already done the 120fps/vrr you did your other video btw.

Let the panel upscale, let the audio go to pass thru, do not let the Shield process it as you will not get Atmos otherwise, so let your amp or sound bar handle the audio via pass thru

Great review, thx! In my opinion colors get washed out pretty quick when viewing at an angle. I would not recommend this tv if you wil watch it over 25°. I have the 55" model only a few days and I am considering to go for an oled with beter viewing angles. But this panel is unbeatable at the price I bought it for when viewing within 25°..

@TVguyDarko What Xbox series X settings would you recommend for Dolby Vision on the C635? It looks stunning but I can't help notice a little banding in foggy scenes or when I look up at the sky. This is in games only.

Disable Dolby Vision for gaming on your Xbox, and turn on Game Mode on your TV.. Even 30fps games are going to feel like 60 fps... Just enable HDR and disable DV..

Judder reduction set to "3" otherwise older 24fps movies will feel excessively jerky due to the high refresh rate nature of the panel. I have a c835.

Hello Darko - have received just a TCL 55P735X1 TV- Worst colors and most difficult setup that i have ever seen - have Phillips and Sony -they are not smart - but have just in standard the most natural colors - this is the first time that i have to struglle with a tv to have decent naturl colors - too shiny white and a general cloudy haze . Inmovie its gets realy dar only in eco mode a bit decent. Could you just give me hint pls. Realy want to throw it out of the window....

Pozdrav Darko. Imaš li savet daljinski na mom TCL C735 ne sluša kad gledam TV. Npr kad stisnem dugme za prebacivanje kanala P+ ili P- dobijem Quick menu. Faktički, on mi služi samo za aplikacije, a za TV moram da koristim stari daljinski od STB uređaja. Usput, ni Google voice control mi ne radi.

I own 55C745 and when I go to Netflix, some contents I can out off the bat see the Doby Vision icon, but most of them are showing HD. My other TV, Samsung, for the same contents, I see HDR. How should I turn on HDR? I googled a bit and some are saying that there is a hidden / secret setting menu to enable???

@@TVguyDarko I can say it's really great. I bought it mainly for watching movies in uhd and the image is really stunning. The bad thing is that I can really compare it to anything since my last TV was a 6 year old Grundig full HD TV that is just awful 😁 The tcl is obviously not OLED but the black are really good and since I have a bright room, I figured I'd be a better fit than an OLED. Also, OLEDs of this size are crazy expensive. Have you managed to get more info from your contact at TCL about the specs of the 75c936?

Hello! Thank you for explaining these settings. It was instructive. You said gamma 2 was BT.1886, which I'm guessing is good for SDR content. What about HDR? Gamma slider is still adjustable with an HDR signal and it's confusing me. Thank you!

I have seen contradicting info, I leave it at 0 (2.2) default as some sources said that if adjusted you can mess with the PQ luminance function. So I use 0 (2.2) with HDR 10, HLG and Dolby Vision. For SDR I use 2.3 (1) or 2.4 (2) depending on the content, time of day and ambient lighting

Hi, is there a way to find out what SoC (Cores, GPU, Ram) TCL TVs are using? You did show it in your TCL 728 TV review and I need TV with Android and fast enough to run some apps/games, there are all kind of different models in UK and it gets very confusing with TCL like TCL 715 model.

@@TVguyDarko thanks for answer, there are so many c7xx models you can never tell what SoC is inside, I mainly look for TV to be kind of a emulator box for older consoles using retro arch from 8bit up to Dreamcast so the GPU is very important for me. Mali G52 like in C728 should be enough but I can't know for sure and not sure if all series 7 models are the same especially in UK.

I wonder how anime and movies look in a dark room, is there enough contrast for a vivid experience when viewing anime for example. I game a lot as well, the tv seems good for that. But i often watch tv shows and movies including anime. I'm not expecting miracles from a budget tv. Just if it's good enough for the content i wish to view on it. I'm of course talking about the C735.

HI Lucas - backlight value is individual, set it to the level which you find OK (not to cause eye strain or that the image is too dark). Contrast is usually set correctly by default. Sharpness usually doesn't need to be increased as it introduces contouring and halo effect around objects. Generally, tips from this video are good for every picture mode, including game mode.

Kupio bih ovaj TCL 43C635 prvenstveno za gaming PS5 konzole, ali me buni sto negde pise da je osvezenje 60hz negde 120hz a negde 144hz. Pa bi hteo iz prve ruke da saznam koliko je osvezenje ekrana. This is a great video!! Right now, I’m using C635 but there is one problem I can’t fix , Can you help me out? It’s the problem when the movie has a very fast different brightness scene between the light and dark scene. It’s like the backlight of the LED is flickering. It’s like the TV doesn’t know when to dimming or lighten up. Do you know how to fix it? Thank you

Hey Aira - for HDR you can keep all the default values in Movie mode, just make sure Color temperature is as mentioned in this video.

Pozdrav Darko, kupio sam pocetkom decembra 55c635 ali nisam zadovoljan slikom, slika nije ostra ali ono sto mi posebno smeta jeste probijanje neke "crvenkaste" nijanse (npr najizrazenije na licima kao "rumenilo")...nesto sam pokusavao sam podesiti ali ako umanjim zasicenost boje dobijem blijedu sliku. Ocekivao sam vise od ovog tv, obzirom na primjenjene tehnologije mnogo jasniju i blistaviju sliku...ali probacu sada sa ovim tvojim preporukama za podesavanje pa cemo vidjeti hoce li biti bolje ...

Pozdrava Darko, nisam zadovoljan sa slikom na ovom TV-u kako god ga podesio. Problem je u pozadinskom zamućivanju. Slika djeluje neprirodno. Osobe u prednjem kadru su oštre, a odostraga skoro sve mutno, kao da je uključen neki 3D mod. Prije sam imao LG i nije bilo takvih problema. Ima li kakva postavka koju bih trebao isključiti ili nešto podesiti da nije takav veliki kontrast između osoba u prednjem dijelu kadra i onoga odostraga?

Hi Darko! Just wanted to know if you can provide a step-by-step procedure video on how to address the auto-dimming issue for various streaming platforms like netflix, disney+, amazon prime, and apple tv. We have a 55c635 for a little over a month now and we're really happy with it except for that dimming issue. I figured out that it only happens when Dolby Vision gets activated and I haven't really been successful in addressing it in the settings. It works fine with different inputs. It's really just the apps. Hoping you could help!

Hi Darko, what's the difference between C728K and C735K? I have a very good offer for the old model (C728K) and I don't know if it's worth to pay the difference to get the new one (C735K).

The only difference is c735 has 144hz vrr and better picture quality.

Hey Javier - if your looking for a TV for watching movies, C635 will be OK. If you need something for sports and high frame rate gaming, then C735 is a better choice.

Pozdrav - od 65-ica ima LG i Samsung par svojim modela, no ovaj TCL C728 je iznad njih po mogucnostima, a novi C735 ima iste karakteristike uz visu cijenu pa se i ne isplati trenutno.

Hey, that should not be the case if you use PC picture mode and you have it adjusted in a similar way as Movie mode. What in particular is bothering you?

You’re welcome! C645 is 2023 model, C735 is 2022. They share similarities, but I haven’t tested yet the new model. Which screen size are you considering?

If I turn off MEMES, then the videos in 24FPS (for example RED) and in 30 fps (for example Japanese rope) go with twitching. But after all, if his matrix has an honest 120 Hz, then they should go smoothly, since 24 and 30 are multiples of 120. Does the 60 Hz matrix learn from him, and 120 is achieved only in game mode? Or am I misunderstanding something? On the box there is no inscription 120 Hz, there is only the inscription 144Hz * VRR. Tomorrow you either have to take it back or you will not pass it later.

You need to enable motion controls to benefit from 120 Hz panel. I recommend custom option with judder reduction at 0 (or a few clicks if you want smoothing) and blur reduction maxed out for the best motion resolution.

Hello Duško! In all of my tests, TCL C735 was playing the content smoothly - I also tested Kodi and there were no issues. Personally, I use built-in media player for audio and video playback and it also works really well. Philips TVs are often having issues with stability so I would not recommend them.

Hey Kamil - settings can be bought on these links: payhip.com/b/NQGf0 and payhip.com/b/bs4KP Even though it says they are for C735, the menus are the same and controls work in the same way. The difference is that C635 is 60 Hz max so you won't have Blur reduction in the Motion menu.

On my C635 having color space set to auto often makes people's skin tone look very pale and gray, putting it to native resolves this and skin tones become normal again.

Darko,mala pomoc za model 43C735. Primetio sam jedan problem na Disney + i na IMAX verzijama filmova. Kad pustim neki IMAX film slika mi dobije na osvetljenju jedno +30% na par sekundi i opet se vrati na staro posle par sekundi. I tako u krug. Ne mogu da shvatim razlog,kao da se to desava na brzin promenama slike. Na ostalim verzijama radi super. Gde gresim?

Pozdrav Aleksandar - da, te varijacije su prisutne kod Dolby Vision sadržaja i nažalost nisam našao način kako ih isključiti. TV analizira sliku pa ovisno o količini bijele boje u kadru varira pozadinsko osvjetljenje. Napomenuo sam to kontaktima u TCL-u, nadam se da će uvažiti primjedbe i ispraviti.
