But no honestly, it took me waay too long to actually get 9.9 on classic mode; i’ve had this game since the START and literally just now got it for the first time. Elite smash is a billion times less impressive than this, turning on items and spamming goes such a long way there compared to the carefully taken steps and strategies that must be executed for classic mode

Jigglypuff has the easiest Classic mode, due to the fact that the final battle is just against big dk, and he gets combod easily

For my experience of going through every character in classic mode, it’s your least played characters that get you to 9.9 intensity.

Carmen A. I say try to go with characters you are unfamiliar/least experienced with. I went through Classic Mode with Ryu and Toon Link and they got me to 9.9 very easily despite me not playing them at all.

I learned that the hard way... I remember I was at like 9.8 with Ganon and used the ticket before the boss battle then when I finally thought I got 9.9 after beating the boss, it stayed at 9.8

Stuff that I learned from grinding out classic mode with every character: -you can’t get to 9.9 after using a respawn, the game will auto cap you at 9.8 -you CAN however, get to 9.9 before using a ticket (with a really good first 5-6 rounds). If you use a ticket after this, you will still retain 9.9 -it’s possible (and more fun imo) to do the final part of the bonus round without the cannon

That's how I got to 9.9 as Falco. He's not even my main; I simply did phenomenally with him prior to my fights with Master and Crazy Hand, and I had a ticket or two to spare.

Additionally, try not to take damage in the earlier fights, as getting a perfect will net extra points.

If you notice in Shulk’s classic mode, it is called “witness the Monado power.” Cloud’s buster sword, K. Rools armor, little Mac KO punch, Sonic’s speed, and Falco’s jump and mega man just to be there

@@solarflare3752 yep. Same thing with get up attacks and ledge attacks. If you accidently get launched shallow and buffer a special, you miss the tech and getup attack and fail the whole thing.

@@ss4clubdj it's so tempting to start using them because your moves stale so quickly. By the time the real fighters show up, an alternate input heavy shoryuken wont even kill them at 50, unless you keep it fresh just for them

As someone who isn’t great at online smash, it’s nice to see I’m pretty good at something compared to a great player. I’ve gotten 9.9 with 6 characters; it’s so hard lol. You need to average an increase of 0.7 after each round, so just practice a bunch!

I somehow instantly got 9.9 on one of my first classic mode games, just because Ridley punishes the slightest mistakes with sheer carnage.

I'm happy for you^^ Don't know if you figured it out yet, so here are some tips to help you getting 9.9 more easy: _ Kill your Enemy as fast as possible, the more enemys you have the more generous the Time limit becomes. - Try to get as few damage in relation to your opponent as possible. This counts especially for HP-Battles. - Play more casually and learn how to react on Stages with Hazards on. Use them to your advantage. - Play more often with Items on and watch how the CPU uses them. So you can forecast what they are (probably) about to do. If a Hammer appears for example, the CPU will always go for it. So make sure it gets the Hammer at the Edge of a Stage (if possible) and let it grab it. A small "push" will garanty your Victory. Use a Hammer only if you are sure you can kill the CPU immediately! Remember: You'll not be able to use other moves and hit everything in your way. If a Bob-Omb or some other Explosives appear suddenly in your way, it's bye-bye! - Practice the Bosses at highest Difficulty so you know what will be waiting for you when you reach them at the end of the Classic Mode. That's all I could list so far. I hope thes will be useful to you and everyone who struggles with reaching the 9.9. Greetingsd from Germany and keep Smashing! ;)

Another thing is that continues when you are below 9.9 will make it so you get 9.8 and 9.8 only, if at 9.9, using a ticket will still keep the intensity. (as it does) Also, the easiest one to do classic mode with is Krool imo.

Wolf’s route is pretty easy to get 9.9 on, it’s just a series of 1v1 fights, and you can kill the boss quickly by spamming Wolf Flash. 16:15 Case in point...

@@barracudajsab5018 I would suggest King K.Rool. He has many 1v1 fights against heavy weights that you can cheese since you are heavy yourself and the final boss is Galleom (just like Wolf) who is easy to deal with if you know what you're doing.

I think the day Terry came out or after I casually finished his classic on 9.9 and he has high score on my classic mode well with the exception of the final fight in where I had 7 HP remaining. Only had to retry once or twice

@@haywardbarrows5906 tier lists don't really matter. She is actually a lot easier than Marth online. She can just mash and usually is unpunishable online. And her fsmash is actually unreactable. Bowser you actually have to commit to as most characters can whiff punish Bowser across the whole stage.

@@markusbonnet439 Yeah, one thing I learned is that you don't actually have to be good at the character to get Elite. All Elite players play the same, just learn to read any of them and you have the download for the next 80. I can safely say my Ryu, Bayonetta, and Belmonts don't deserve to be in Elite, and yet I have them all in Elite. Meanwhile, the characters that can actually win tournaments that I use offline, like my Joker, my Pokemon Trainer, my ROB, all took forever to get in.

Shulk's classic mode is literally a reference to its title's namesake, “This is the Monado's power!” Falco is Jump, Sonic is Speed, K. Rool is shield, Cloud is Buster, and Little Mac is Smash. Megaman is likely meant to be representing the nature of the monado changing in smash, or meant to represent a mechon.

If you don't take damage during a fight, you get a 'perfect'. It helps your score, but I don't know if it boosts the difficulty.

It seems to help it get better, but It's not genuine, as you could play bad and get a perfect score yet you'd get 0.7 instead.

Got 9.9 with Captain Falcon. A lot of his stages are smaller so you can lure the cpu towards the side and hit with a few good forward smashes

Watching this has remotivated me to try and hit a score of 2 million with Daisy. I stopped because you basically need a perfect run and the peach near the end reads your inputs.

Alright, so I am what you would call a Classic Mode connoisseur of sorts, ever since I set the goal for myself of reaching at least 9.5 with every character. A goal I have reached with all but two characters. So believe me when I say that Classic Mode is QUITE bullshit and unbalanced between characters. EDIT- I don't mean to brag, but I did not use Tickets for any of my 9.5+ runs

Fun fact: The shulk classic mode is based on his monado arts. Speed is Sonic, Shield is K Rool, Buster is Cloud, Mac is Smash, MegaMan is Jump.

I got 9.9 as Mega Man and Kirby. But when I did reach 9.9 as Kirby, I was like, "That wasn't suppose to happen." Also, Pyra and Mythra's classic mode route made me give them Link as their enemy.

I fairly easily beat it with Bayonetta and just one classic ticket, between her neutral special spamming, edge guarding and final boss against big Palutena it just makes sense

This Diddy kong is crazy 😂 Also little macs last fight is ridiculous. You have to fight both Master Hand and Crazy Hand. Bosses that are literally all the time in the air -.-

11:44 using a ticket does not take away your 9.9, however you get fewer points from winning if you use a ticket, but only from the match where you used the ticket

I absolutely LOVE Classic mode!! I played it a lot when the game came out to learn the characters (so far, the only one i got at 9.9 is my main Zelda, followed by Joker at 9.8). I should go back and finish the board sometime

10:40 you have to *deal* the *most* damage while TAKING the LEAST damage, time doesn't matter AT ALL, You can take 7 whole minutes, but as long as you don't get hit too much and you deal a lot of damage you can get 1.0 or 1.1, I think the max is 1.2

When the final stage is one character, if no special characteristics (like being big or metal), there is a second character that will spawn in. In case of Bowser, you fight Mario, then Metal Mario.

I can tell you from experience Wolf's is EXTREMELY easy, all light characters, I don't recall what the boss, but it's just overall really easy. Everyone is your prey, and that's all you need. And I have now realized he does attempt that one.

I was in disbelief when I beat classic on 9.9 for the first time. Because it wasn't with any of my mains, or even a top tier. The first character I beat it with (and on my first try with them btw) was King Dedede

For me it just worked by killing them as fast as possible and I got it first try with meta knight. I think you get less gsp points and stuff, but the intensity goes up faster

It was tough but I got some characters into 9.9. Which are Snake, Captain Falcon, Pokemon Trainer, R.O.B., Rosalina and Luma, and Mega Man.

Classic mode is my bane. It took me years and about a dozen 9.8s before I could finally get 9.9, but only then in co-op mode.

I do this challenge too! I’m a casual at the competitive game but I can proudly say I’ve definitely done this a while ago, I did it with Zelda the easiest
