This little analog amplifier chip can provide a bit more power into 8 ohms when you are limited to 5 or 6 volts of power supply voltage. See if it is any good...

Thank you so much for this. I've been chasing schematics left and right for this type of power with no noise.

I built this amp using 10nf and 10uf capacitors and it worked as a guitar amp

I fixed my problem. I had to put that output cap in. just didnt see that on your breadboard haha. thanks for the video, it helped alot!

Thanks for answering my message. the hum on my amp does not change with the volume control,and there is no guitar sound. regards Andrew

Hey great video! This might work for cigar box amps. I will have to try it. Thankz.

What was your input signal V? I had to add a small input transformer to get enough drive from my old 100mV cell phone.

I looped 3 to 6 like you said, I hear some crackleing but no sound on my circuit.. Am using an 16 volt 220 uf elecrolyic cap and a 50 volt myca cap.. What am i doing wrong ??

I made the same set up as you did on the bread board and the sound was destorted and then faded out. I dont know why this is happening

Saw them for $1.20, 550mW 0.3% .THD Class AB, 85C max.5,9,or 12V, available with or without volume control, same price. These were SMT. Might be nice for small projects where you want a bit more output, like driving a speaker from an MCU.

hi! i'm sorry, i'm on first trying.. can you give a schematic (breadboard) in the info? What's the dc volume control?

Nice chip, watching your vids I can see that you prefer to use IC instead of discrete way to do stuff. I'm interested why, or you use discrete solutions too?
@JohnAudioTech9 жыл бұрын
MrJohhhnnnyyy Yes, I prefer ICs as they can handle the job better than discreet in many situations except in some situations like high power amplifiers. I do use discreet in some situations.

Help with my problem,How do i ckeck my guitar amplifier chip...i have been told to disconnect the speaker and measure dc voltage on output leads going to the speaker.. Now i am no electrician,,so how do i go about this.. My main problem is a very loud hum. regards Andrew

+MrAndfio Does the hum change with the volume control on the amp? Can you still hear the guitar through the amp?

Hi John! Very educational videos! I hope youcan make a review for TDA7053 (the stereo version of TDA7052s). I really want to know if they can be powered via usab 2.0 ports. I tried bboarding it but it only powers for a sec or 2 and then fades out. But some pages in google says that the this chip can run on usb 2.0.. Im confused.

+Robert Anthony Bermudez Thank you for the kind words! It is what keeps me producing videos. Yes it should work. Be warned that some USB ports may not support the current. Best to get the amp going on a separate 5v supply before trying USB. Thanks for the heads up on the 7053.

Thank you for the feedback John. Yeah, you're right. I was able to make it work on the USB port. The output is cleaner than the 2822 and much more stable. But when I turn to louder volumes, the IC would suddenly shut down. I guess its maxing out the current that the port can give. I need to send a special command to the port for it to give the 2.5watts that it can handle.

Hi again John,,can i replace the tda2050 with a LM1875T INTEGRATED CIRCUIT- IC AMP AUDIO PWR 30W AB TO220-5. in my 20 watt amp. regards Andrew
@JohnAudioTech8 жыл бұрын
+MrAndfio Yes the LM1875 will function as a suitable replacement.

Can I use Tda7056 chip in place of this chip to make a small amp to play music from my mobile phone ? The 7056 datasheet says it can out 3 Watts @ 16 ohms 12 Volts and 1 watt @ 8 ohms 6 Volts and I have 6 Volts supply so can use it as a 1 Watt amp in place of tda7052 ? And, if possible please do a review on tda7056😊

Probably at least 50 volts as they are film types.

I would like to use this circuit in an ancient record player.. I want to get away from tubes.. and high voltages.. Its a ceramic pickup.. and its mono.. its post WW2, arond 1944.. I also would like to give it some base..

hi mr. JohnAudioTech :) , i have a 2.1 sound system audio amplifier and it is broke now.... can i asked you a favor ..please ..!!! could you help me to build a 2.1 sound system audio amplifier... :) i have a AC adaptor 230V~50Hz 70mA , 9V~1000mA 9VA and my speaker : Satellite Speaker Output Power : Left and Right is 2 watts RMS , Impedance : 4 Ohms ; Subwoofer Output Power : 4 watts RMS , Impedance : 4 Ohms [ Response Bandwith : 180 Hz - 18 KHz ] [ Frequency Response : 180 Hz - 18 KHz ] [ Signal to Noise Ratio : >74 dB ]
