We are in a season when a lot of us are reinventing and challenging ourselves beyond measure in order to reach the goal that’s before us. We cannot allow our emotions to get in the way and forfeit for the vision board has now expanded beyond oneself to include others. We cannot deny them the opportunity but do the work, plant the seed and leave a harvest. Yes, we shall leave an inheritance. Though it gets heavy we must toil on we know and trust the Burden Bearer, Jesus Christ himself. He is our source.

Arguing your perspective and leaving your adversary standing...This is as Oprah say un huh moment. I can relate to this testimony in so many ways. My father even retired from Douglass in Torrance as well back in the 80' and 90's. I'm on the opposite spectrum of Brother Bryant. At 40, I had to graduate from the school of hard knocks. That's why God called me to start West Coast Rise Ministries as a way to bridge the gap between community, faith and social justice once and for all. This vision is HUGE, and I pray to have leaders on my board like you Brothers and so many others that I've learned from and studied. If it weren't for meditating daily on the scriptures while incarcerated and while free, I don't know where I would be. God has a plan, and this is the time, this is the place.

The Black people that come here from the Caribbean and Africa that John states is more successful than African-Americans, Native Americans, and poor Whites because most of them come to this country on a student visa.
