Adam...honestly I think that THIS is what you were born to do. I get to travel with you and learn the history of small town America without having to leave my living room. These kind of videos are my very favorite, and you get better and better each and every day. The addition of the little drone was genius. From one former Williams to another (and my oldest son is named Adam) have a great and wonderful day. Looking forward to tomorrow!!

The REASON Picher, OK is abandoned is because the mining that was taking place there directly underneath the town has rendered most of it's buildings un-stable and ready to collapse. Also, there are huge piles of toxic waste material all over the place which are dangerous to even be around. The government even had to forcibly remove a few people who didn't want to leave. This is great content. There's a very genuine quality to it that you don't find on KZfaq anymore. That you're open to the wonders of the smallest things opens up a much bigger world. Thanks for sharing it with us. I haven't dug back deep enough into your vlogs to see if you've been to 4 corners (AZ, NM, CO & UT) but if not you should the next time you head back west. Of course it's so famous it's almost cliche' but still fun to see.

This was awesome! I've been to that service stop outside of Tulsa--my parents, my grandma and I stopped there once on the way back from visiting my great-grandma in Columbus, KS. It was the early 90s, and back then it was just a McDonald's and a gift shop. I bought a necklace while we were there, and after we got home I had fun telling people I got it at McDonald's. The place looks great since they restored it--a lot more open. Thanks, Adam for taking us with you on your journey. Looking forward to tomorrow... :-)

Really great vlogs Adam! I reallyfound Miami Ok a very warm and friendly town as a retail outlet I worked for had a store there that went out of business in 1998! I never lived in Oklahoma but love the state & very friendly people that live there! Take care Adam and hope you are truly are at peace & happy at being on the road again! Just get better and better Adam...................... man your killing this road trip................. I feel like I have almost sat next to you in the van as you eat up the miles................. the mix of your own family memories and those of famous, and infamous people from the places you have lived, or visited over the past 30 years or so. Your looking so happy, even the corny one liners are making a comeback............ i so want to watch that film now, can't get my head around how so many huge film actors were in that house in one time............. for you to actually stand there must of been a real buzz. Copy righted route 66 cookies................. thats awesome too, and they looked scrummy. As for walking in that civic hall and seeing the plinth that your Grand Father stood at was out of this world, and for you must of been awesome. The story of the wayward preacher had some irony to it......... thanks for sharing that, I hadn't heard of him, being from the UK and all. Well, looking forward to more tomorrow, happy travels Adam.

I graduated from Picher Ok. Class of 2000. I can't believe you came right through my area. And I missed it. 😟. There was also a town called Treece Ks right passed that abandoned gas station. It is also gone, I grew up there. There was a stone plaque dedicated to Treece and the people who lived there.

I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It used to be a great city back in the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's. I left Tulsa and Oklahoma in 2003.

I just wanted to let you know that you have inspired me to stop drinking soda. I have been wanting to quit and drink water instead for a long time , but me husband drinks a lot of soda and it is always available in the house and it makes it difficult. Well yesterday I started tapering down and by next week I will be off of it. I feel so much better now that I am drinking more water. Thank you for sharing your journey and weight loss, you never know how many people you might be helping by sharing your journey.

Awesome video as always! It is true, the amazing historical things you can find almost anywhere. My comments: 1) I miss Sam. I had actually purchased tickets to the show in San Jose he was driving to when he was killed. 2) I was amused that the old-school 4-way stoplight had modern LED bulbs 3) I'll take the rare California earthquake over yearly tornadoes anytime. :-) Keep up the great work; we're all riding along with you!!

The most random, yet interesting stuff I've ever seen on a KZfaq channel. I Loved Evel K. I use to have the action figure and motorized bike. I'm a huge fan of the "then and now" phenomenon of landscapes and urban centres. I got hooked on your videos when I saw your visit to the Alamo shooting location, and your natural passion for exploring really shines through. I wish I was retired so I could do this sort of thing. Enjoy the rest of your road trip.

Glad you got to see this! I've been trying to get ahold of you forever on this since your Dad said you used to live here as a young pup and knowing you have a baseball tag on your van. There are some abandoned buildings in Commerce and right beside the Mantle statue is the toxic water that comes from the Picher mines. It flows beneath the school which is amazing since the school is still used. That whole area is made up of several towns and there are still some buildings you can go in. The school for Picher is still there and the tribal police might have let you go in there if you had spoken to them. There are a few people still living in the area. The amazing thing about this place is how toxic it is and yet many of the things in the area are still consumed by people. Water, corn, honey and cattle are just some of those things. Great to see you here finally!

Your video about growing up in Eufala really brought back memories. We stopped there for supplies on our way to Lake Tenkiller. Lake Eufala has more shoreline than any Great Lake. Just a little trivia for you.

Great one Adam! This video was full of goodness! I seen a documentary on Picher Oklahoma a while ago,If I remember right , The ground water is contaminated. I have stood in 3 states at the same time before, on Chain Rock in Pine Mountain , Ky. You can stand in Ky, Tennessee, and West Virginia. That is awesome that the outsiders house is being saved.

You are my very favorite Documentary and entertainment on KZfaq Adam, and thanks for showing the grave of Sam Kinison, he was one of my favorite comedians when I was a 20 something, but it was a sad day when I heard about his death.

Wow the Mick's house! I remember Sam Kinison big in the 90's screamed a lot some of his stuff was funny not all. A former preacher from a line of preachers amazing. The way he died was sad. Keep up the great Video blogs Adam.

That's amazing that you found Sam Kinison's grave, true story, I actually met Sam at a Tv show taping of "Comics Only" with Paul Provenza in 1991. I was sitting in the front row at that taping, he put his hand on my forehead, and I was blessed by Sam Kinison the day before he died in Las Vegas. True story, I'm really glad that you went to his grave site, miss you Sam.
