Hey everyone! I always make some teatime masala cookies for my family and it helps us bond over chai and coffee :)
So I thought, why not share this family recipe with y'all?
They are one of the most loved teatime bakery snacks by all. While being lightly flavourful and mildly spicy, they are also quite refreshing and will be a great addition to your snacks!
They are also pretty easy to make and don't require much preparation time.
Ingredients :
Butter 100g
Sugar 65g
Maida 120g (you can substitute 50% of the maida with whole wheat flour)
Jeera 1/2 tsp
Ajwain 1/2 tsp
Chilli flakes 1/2 tsp
Freshly chopped coriander 10g
White & black sesame 15g
Note : You can customize the masala according to your taste, for example add rosemary, thyme, or any spices of your choice.
Freeze the dough for 30 mins at least before baking
Bake at 150-160 degree Celsius in a preheated oven for 10-12 mins or until done
Will yield about 15-16 medium sized cookies.
PS : Don't miss out on the Chef's tip at the end of the video!
