An East Bay teacher is using a popular song to inspire her students. It's Lizzo's "Truth Hurts" with new lyrics. abc7ne.ws/32gomK4
Pittsburg Unified School District shared the video of Ms. Mallari's second grade class at Los Medanos Elementary School on its Facebook page. The video quickly went viral.

This an awesome way to connect with the kids and teach them positivity and confidence! Very creative that she changes the words, cause the original song is not kid approved. I love this! We have to find ways to reach kids and inspire them to learn. It takes a lot of emotional and mental work, energy, and creativity to be a teacher. Kudos to this hard working teacher!

I went to elementary in early 2000s in Pittsburg ca and there’s tons of wonderful teachers like this one! The school district definitely deserves some recognition.

Big Billy it’s actually Pittsburg. It’s not spelled with an “h” that’s pittsburgh Pennsylvania. We are located in ca Bay Area.

Aww Pittsburg ca. My hometown . The school district that brought you “I got 5 On it” marching band performance by Pittsburg high. I promise you there’s no other diverse or spirited school district than Pittsburg United school district. Bay Area love ❤️

In my school, if we walked on tables with our shoes on, we will be sent to the principal's office for bad behaviour! Actually walking on tables is off-limits and downright disrespectful ... I guess its an Asian thing :)
