I wish the subtitles were in Italian and not English. Why not in German or French or Greek? He's speaking Italian at a level that no beginner is going to understand anyway. Depending on English to learn Italian at this level is insane.

My Nonna never learned English so I learned Italian as a child but I learned in context. I guessed what the linking words meant so I could understand her overall. Now I see that I am way, way off in my understanding. Thank you for this video. When I go to Cremona, one day, and Trieste, where my Nonno and Nonna are from, I hope to speak Italian well! Complimenti, sei molto bravo. Io vivo in Giappone e insegno italiano ad un corso serale. Il mio lavoro principale è insegnare materie artistiche in una scuola, quindi insegnare l'italiano non è la mia specialità. Guardare i tuoi (vostri) video mi aiuta tantissimo ad elaborare le mie lezioni, anche se chiaramente devo poi tradurre tutto in giapponese. Inoltre mi hai molto influenzato a parlare più lentamente e a ripetere le frasi almeno 2 volte, cosa molto apprezzata. Continua così

Good video! My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!

No kidding right! I can understand quite a bit of written italian (ie subtitles in a movie) but spoken italian!!??? Niente!! I imagine it would take several months immersion to understand what sounds like gibberish coming out of their mouths 😂
