Many SE Asian schools have no heat, because the normal temp is so high throughout most of the year. No heat in most public schools in Viet Nam, either. Further, construction is such that the heat would be difficult to contain IF the schools had it.

There are usually assistants in classes in China. They help maintain discipline as far as I know. Actually a very good idea especially in such numerous classes.

Most likely she’s the class teacher who teaches them classes other than English.

She's not the homeroom teacher but also English teacher. They have 6 periods of English class per weeks and I have 2 periods with them.
