I love how as soon as Indi is in the water his little legs start kicking to get to the top as soon as he can!

Totally plan to do this with my kids one day! Kids knowing how to swim as soon as possible is so important to me. Love this!

My daughter had trouble trying to swim when she was 5 years old. On vacation she turned to diving instead, surfacing only for fresh air. That worked perfectly for two more years until she finally managed to keep her head above water permanently. And other parents stopped telling my daughter would be drowning ...

My baby was swimming underwater when she was about 7 months old she might even have been younger. I wasn't even trying to teach her I had my kids and my sister's kids at my mom's pool everyday she just started swimming away from me underwater and I couldn't get any of the other kids to swim at all. It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I can still see her little eyes open swimming underwater.

Indi is kicking and smiling underwater. He could swim easily. Very good Indi.

Thank you soooooo much for posting this!! I got so stoked as soon as I saw the notification! 😍 I remember you guys sharing some of the beginning of Cru’s water journey when he was a tiny little baby still and you were showing and explaining the technique of using the cup of water on his face while he was in the bath to get him comfortable with water in his face and to learn how to hold his breath. I loved watching the progression as he continued to learn and grow even more comfortable and confident with the water and under the water, and I was super excited to see the shorts of Indi learning the same at and even younger age! It absolutely pays off, these are skills they will keep and build on throughout their lives. And of course these skills can literally save their lives if they were ever in a situation where they ended up in deeper water by themselves (not that they ever would of course), it’s still massively important that they know how to surface for air and float and paddle to the side or to find something to hold. It sincerely warms my heart every single time I see you guys post a vlog/short with Cru and Indi swimming or underwater because I know that all of your hard work and dedication has been paying off ten fold! I have the utmost respect for you both as parents for making this smart and brave decision for your babies and I absolutely plan to teach my own baby as early as I can 🥰 Sending so much love and light to your entire family!! 💕

Hey you guys did such a womderdul job with teaching them to swim. What do you guys think about those people that just throw them in pool ?? I don't like it. Interested in what you guys think since your empathetic like ne. I was taught young very rough like those kids I mentioned and yes I learned to swim but it also scared me for a while. I think your way us better. 🙂💞💨 Ps. Your children are sooo fortunate. They get so much love and positivity.

Thank you so much for this! My son is 2 and he has ALWAYS loved the water, but as soon as it touches his face he gets a little freaked out. He doesn’t like being splashed and he hates when I have to rinse his hair in the bath (he doesn’t like to lay down and let me do it that way to avoid his face 🙄) and I have tried dipping him under water a few times and even throwing him in with his floaties on since he can swim REALLY well, but every time he HATES his face being underwater and will sometimes even swallow water, idk why he doesn’t instinctively hold his breath. But I will be trying some of these in the bath tub! We also have a small pool at home but it’ll start cooling down soon lol

All babies swim naturally and instinctively until they are 7 months old, then this instinct disappears - Prof Wilkensen. If only all parents were made aware of this it could prevent so many child drownings.
