Teaching Vermillion: Impasto Technique

Painters like Van Gogh use this technique for very dynamic and expressive paintings. This is a free series of tutorials for Vermillion, the oil painting app for virtual reality by the Aviary. It is available on SteamVR and the Oculus store.

Do Not forget 'impasto' began when artists had to paint on top of stucco, a kind of rough plastic/clay that was used for building construction. This implied the artist had learn how to let the paint soak into the 'canvass' of the stucco wall. I believe great artists of the Renaissance of the 15th, 16th century Europe created impasto; and it was originally considered an obstacle.

LOVE THIS! saw the textures in your previous videos of this training course but now i finally know how to pull it off , thank you for all the explaining , painting in vermillion has become one of my goto apps for just chilling around.. since vermillion has multiplayer now do you also do public rooms so you can paint with others , would love to join you on a session

They could add paint tube tool, so you can squeeze out paints. Sponges. even thicker paint!
