Vermillion tutorials! Filbert! It is both fun to say and fun to use! The round tip of the Filbert Brush lets you blend smooth and round shapes like flower petals and clouds. This is a free series of tutorials for Vermillion, the oil painting app for virtual reality by the Aviary. It is available on SteamVR and the Oculus store.

Nice! I have some trouble with this brush. I feel like I can't load it with paint consistently. The brush appears to bend over completely when i load it and then when i go and paint, my strokes are inconsistent from one load to another. I'm never sure if i should be "dabbing it" or loading the sides. Any tips on that would be appreciated.

Yeah, the Filbert is a little tricky. It is actually better at blending paint on the canvas than it is at applying fresh paint. I will often lay down a base coat with the 2-inch brush, then go in with the Filbert for blending and adding color. Dabbing the tip at different angles should give you good stippling.

so i just followed all 40 vermillion lessions , gonna try to paint some now i had the app since day one of launch but this is the first time i actually want to get serious in it , thanks for all the help the whole class had a bob ross vibe over it , do you have a discord?

@@ShamelessMayhem i am already in the official discord , i was indeed talking about a personal discord so i maybe could share some paintings with you... but i get it if you dont want to manage a discord community, just got done with a painting to get a feel for the program after your lessons , it was addicting fun and relaxing :D
