The mt10 is basically their 8th scale platform labeled a 10th scale, same as their pro4 sct. It uses most of the same parts as the mt10 but also shares a lot of parts with the .. rc8 I think it was? Either way the Pro4 is just an amazing, bulletproof RC AND THUS THE RIVAL is also a beast. They also fly SO flat and predictable, ive never seen an rc vehicle with the aerodynamics of a brick like this just launch itself totally flat 20 feet through the air with very little effort and no tuning or balancing needed.

Love my MT10...that thing takes a beating! I've run more than 20 packs (both 2s & 3s) and it just doesn't give up. I stripped a spur gear but that was my fault with a poorly set mesh. Best basher for the money by a long shot! The Rival is unrivaled!

It’s a good little truck if you get one just adjust the end points on the steering that should stop it breaking like mine did.

Dude, ive got the pro4 that shares most of the same parts, its SO worth it. I cant believe anyone buys tracks-ass slashes anymore when these things are so cheap and good.

@@noobrccars4392 oh yah, true... just like with any new rc its usually good to turn the end points down just below the actual end of travel.

Hi I also bought mt10 a couple of months ago because of Mr Tomley 😂 I’ve run it a few times at the local skate park Crashed it more times than I can count but it still keeps going I just stick to 2s as I’m still a relative beginner too Nice videos Ian 😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Ian it’s a great truck and it takes an absolute beating. I edit a lot of the crashes out😂 I don’t think you can beat it for the price.

AE just came out with the MT8. However, I just like this one better - the body, wheels, tires, size, etc. I can't get into the new MT8.

In my opinion its a budget option instead of a traxxas maxx. I have to admit would be nice if it supported 4s but its great as is for all I've heard

Stock servo is crap, my servo gave out after 2 or 3 runs. Replaced the servo with a better servo & truck ran great after. The rival is a great little truck for the money.

I took it apart and couldn’t find anything obvious I’ve adjusted the end points and the noise has gone away. Have to see if I can break it next time.😂 good little truck though.

@@noobrccars4392 The gearing in the servo went out of mesh on mine,the pins that the gears revolve on went out of line in the plastic mouldings that the pins sit in. I have heard of a few people having pretty early on servo problems.

I had the same problem with it! kept on making the sound when trying to turn left, turned out to a be heating issue with the servo but all sorted now!

Really? Mines still running the stock servo. I assume since they share everything else the sc10 pro4 and the mt10 share a servo too... its taken jumps no 10th scale should roll away from and still just keeps going, servo is still perfect too. Maybe you got a dud? Maybe its just not up to the larger tires they use on the MT10 vs SC10.. larger tires do put more stress on servos after all...

@@NeoIsrafil Looks like they changed the servo on the earlier Rival MT10, my MT10 was from the first batches from around 18 months to 2 years back when Associated first released the Rival MT10. You know the one that also kept breaking A arms as well, looks like they also changed the A arms to a more durable plastic as well these days. I also have the SC10 Pro 4 that i purchased recently & it has a different servo to the MT10 that i have that gave problems that i replaced. My SC10 Pro 4 has a black all plastic bodied servo, my MT10 had a silver aluminum middle part to the servo. MT10 & SC10 Pro 4 are 2 of the best trucks around considering the good price they are in my opinion.

You are costing me too much ££. Just got the Hi Rock because of you! Now I want to upgrade my basher... Hope the competition winner enjoyed the WL buggy. You're the first one I've seen bugger this car up. Reckon this is £100 better than the Quantum or £40 better than Arrma Granite Mega?

Sorry for costing you lots of ££ I know the feeling lol. It’s worth the money over the quantum and you get a brushless motor that you don’t get on the brushed mega range but I’ve not had one of them yet to compare. Oh no Now I want to get one to test against it🤦

I recommend first thing you do is buy an rb10 spoiler saves the body an grip s better an fit 17t pinion an tread lock in the grub screw and motor mount screw

To be honest I ideally buy the cheapest as I buy so many but for me 50c is a good spot for price versus c rating. Pretty much all will work though.

@@noobrccars4392 I imagine you get asked questions all the time my wl toys 124019 gave up the ghost today steering works but within 6-10 ft it cuts out. It works in my hand with the wheels under no load. I’m confused have any tips on where to start? Thanks . Joe.

Hi joe what battery’s are you using? I have two ideas both have happened to me both of which I’m sure you’ve tried. Recharging the battery’s I’ve had them not charge before of the supplied usb charger although it’s says charged? Also I had a wheel come loose sounds silly but it made it not move very well.

@@noobrccars4392 I’ve a feeling my charger is at fault I got back charged both batteries and it seems to work fine now I used to get approximately 6mins out of each 2200 but the day it played up I only got 2 mins per battery. Any recommendations on a better charger would be great cheers 👍🏻

What am very disappointed about have to say is they used plastic shafts very disappointing from team associated were rb10 using the metal cva s very disappointed
