It's true. I have no doubt about that but it's incredible difficult to maintain such ratio all the time. What I want to know is how can they do that since most Chinese eat tons of rice and rice always make me fat :) I'm Vietnamese btw.

7x45 is really recommendet if you're doing a perfect split with perfect regeneration carrencies and good allimentation.

With strict nutrition, most people can be shredded working out 1 hour a day, but eating clean is the hardest part about being lean and ripped.

I was always told to walk the weight backwards, yet I see Chinese lifters walk forward out of the rack with the weight. I'm assuming most of it is personal preference, but can someone explain why you would walk forward with the weight?

They almost always squat from blocks that are easy to dump into when racking backwards. Using a regular squat rack, you have to thread the needle without looking, so it's a bad idea.

They made things a bit harder at this competition by cheaping out and getting black plates, so it's hard to tell what's being lifted even when you know they're in kilos.

Lolek Bolek he is holding it where he would clean it up, this can then be seen after when he does the slight pulls. At least that is what I am assuming

imprinting the position on his memory. basically technique training with focus on a certain position, that is vital to the successfull execution of the lift. in this case it's the starting point of the second pull (acceleration of the bar above the knees to full extension of the body). You want to hit that position automatically without having to think about it during the lift. Starting the second pull too early or too late can lead to not being able to lift the weight.

They sent mostly second-tier lifters to this competition. Lu is over 30 and had already qualified for the Olympics, so he didn't need to compete more than is necessary.
