It'll only get easier with time (updated gears, better & more pf friendly strats developed by community, etc.). Might take a while, but the important thing is to enjoy the journey along the way

No you can, Everyone can clear ultimate, it’s mainly depends how much time and effort you are willing to put in. I know several causal players that cleared Ultimate before. It takes a lot of mentality and patience.

It actually never was a dps loss it's just that no one brute forced a large sample size of LB's until mid shb to actually test it and find out that it is always a dps gain. Ignore other person, LB's don't use potency in traditional sense they scale off parties ilvl

Doesn't even matter if you are 5th or 500th. Most people would never even have the courage and determination to clear this fight with echo later on, even less doing it completely blind. Every clear is worth celebrating.

why would it have wiped? I cant tell the difference, cause the boss will just hit the top 3 enmity targets. does Thordan do more damage to the highest emnity target take (+ DRK having no cooldowns at the time)?

@@loftyz477 The MT gains a dark resistance down stack, ST gains light resistance down stack. (You can see this in the party list). You'll notice they swap at 2 stacks; if tanks fail to resolve aggro they die.

@@loftyz477 thordan slaps top 1 and 2 aggro targets with White/black attacks the timing of the debuffs means you should take 2 attacks -> swap aggro, so you dont get 3rd stack of White (or black) which would be lethal damage to tanks

@@loftyz477 because when thordan hit the tanks, they get a debuff. a white and black debuff. if you get hit 3 times you insta die. you're supose to get hit twice then you tank swap other wise you wipe. the dark knight took aggro when he wans't supose to and he woulded died and wipe everyone if he din't react fast enough.

I’m tryna be like you rn LOL, have the same ambitions that you had 1 year ago. I’ve only recently got into ffxiv but have been doing savage raiding in prep to find a static for UWU, and other ultimates before DSR. I really hope I can get it done someday. Congrats 🎉

@@nightfang725 You will get it someday! It will take time, but you get to see yourself be a better raider along the way and meet great people. Just hope that you put yourself in a good static where everyone puts an effort to committed to your group's purpose : to get things done. I was a bit nervous the first time I stepped into UwU. But overtime, I got better and more confident which I ended up clearing first. It's always the first step, the hardest thing to do for hard content like these. @@eliofastora Thank you, and thanks for the tips it means a lot! Also where did you personally find a static? Because I am in an FC, but most of these guys are insanely good that have done DSR, UWU, even TOP, and are raiding to complete new drawntrail savage's.

​@@nightfang725 I kind of started from scratch. I had 3 people that I've already raided in the past and reconnected with them. But mostly, I recruited from a recruitment platform that came out like last year, it was called XIV Recruit (they have a website). And then other places I'd be looking for would be ultimate raiding discord groups like NA Ultimate Aether Raiding, Aether PUG DSR, etc., It took me about 2 weeks to get a complete static, but along the way we had few people who would have emergencies, or simply couldn't commit due to IRL stuff so getting subs was one of the challenges I encountered. I sometimes put up a Party Finder to look for recruits or subs and sometimes I give incentives like free pots, free food etc., If you have friends who are already doing ultimate raiding, surround yourself with them and see if they can help you out. I was also very lucky I met people who were beyond my skill level and were willing to help out my static. Just remember that raiding especially in ultimates, is a collective effort. You don't have to be really good individually... you just have to be as good as everyone else in your group that it's enough to clear the fight.
