Pool is a popular game at bars and pubs so this atmosphere is about right IMO. It has the same vibes and energy as Dart competition . I don’t mind, I prefer each sport to have its own style.

I understand where you’re coming from but this is the Mosconi cup, where this type of crowd behavior is encouraged, it has always been this way. There are plenty of other elite billiards tournaments here on KZfaq that absolutely do not allow this type of crowd energy. Maybe go check those out instead if this is not for you.

I really wonder if the decision to include Earl was one to hype the contest or to motivate the other player. If it’s motivation then what a waste. Things don’t work that way. It’s one guy at the table at a time. Bringing in Gorst changes everything

@@davidmunoz4155no one can doubt his resume and past that’s for sure but earl should step into a teaching position. He’s a FANTASTIC teacher and coach and he truly understands the game. But his natural talent is starting to decay with age. He’s really feeling the pressure as you could hear on the mic. I don’t think the Earl of old was deterred so much by pressure. If this was the earl of old he would’ve sunk it and then reprimanded the crowd for being too loud during a pool match 😂 Anyways I think earl was deserving of a spot but now that we have another superstar, it may be time for him to step aside.

@@OneShot_G I know earl is a talker (hence my comment about jeering the crowd then sinking a ball) but he never used to whisper to his teammates about how his arm was shaking so bad. The nerves are starting to get with him as he ages (and that’s normal. He’s in the biggest tournament in the world and his natural ability is starting to go)

If it's your fault for putting the 2 in front of the side and you call your opponent lucky? Not because you're unlucky seeing how its your shot and/or didn't hit it better...? Blaming others instead of admitting you could've hit it better. I guess it was Albin's fault you didnt freeze the cue ball as wel.... 😂 I don't care how good he is., I can't look up to a guy like that. It's not how good you are at something, its your character people should respect.

Yeah Earl is incredibly annoying, I respect what he has done for the game and also understand that he comes from a different era of pool players but at the same time it’s like dude you are extremely lucky to be in the position that you are in, maybe show some respect, be a true sportsman and shut up with the childish sh*t talk that does nothing but make you look terrible and play even worse. Idk that’s just my opinion.

The game starts with 9 balls in total, the first ball to kill is number 1 then you kill number 2 successively, until 9, an addendum you can kill 9 with any other ball.

The game ends once you pocket the 9th ball, the final ball. Usually pocketed at the end but if you see a chance you can do it anytime you want.

9 ball pool is played with the 1-9 balls of an 8 ball set. The idea is to hit the lowest ball on the table and work your way up to the final object ball, the 9 ball. The 9 ball can be pocketed at any time as long as the cue ball makes contact with the lowest ball first for an instant win. Illegally pocketing the 9 ball is an instant lose
